3 months late, but if anyone comes across this tutorial and has the issue with the Piglin dying, I gave it Armour and Name Tagged it and added another layer of walls with additional walls on each side of the slab and it seemed to have fixed the problem

I really like how simple this is! I can only imagine how much harder this will be in hard survival. I am going to make sure I use explosive-resistant blocks and build a cabin at the AFK spot. I don't want to be falling from or repairing ghast strikes! :- )

​@@projectm.o.r.t8114lining the area with glass panes is one way to do it. Just go ~30 blocks away, wait 5 minutes then kill/slab the blocks with mobs on them. Repeat a few times and you should get them all

Whats the point in the portal why not just make an open trapdoor fall pit like every other farm and kill then in the nether? Then you dont have to deal with two player afk or ticking chunks. Is this not possible?

if you have less spawn locations(blocks out of fortress) that will be ideal, just know that mobs spawn in 64 block radius (i think 48) if you set your render distance in world settings(and not global settings) to 4

the only reason you would have to create another one would have to be if the withers skeletons no longer attack the piglin

I think the only reason farms are worse in 1.21 is because of the way things spawn so you can no longer spider proof your farms but that isn’t an issue in the nether

blazes normally do not attack piglins, but that might happen by accident, you can put wither roses on spawn spots(refer to silentwisperer design)

Yes u can if u place it on most of the blocks around the farm more and I think only wither skeletons will spawn but btw I would recommend using chickens to get the wither roses it is the easiest way hoped this helped u

Just trade a drown with a trident for a Shell to trade it you just need to drop the shell and the drown with the trident will pick it up and you get a perfectly good trident worlds on bedrock but idk about Java

I don't think so. The Piglin is there because is a nether "hostile" mob that only fights against the wither. But the Iron golem is a non nether natural mob that, in fact, is hostile with all hostile mobs to villagers and players, that mean the golem is going to be focused not only by wither skeletons, focused too by ghasts, piglins, zombified piglins and blazes, so, ghe wither skeletons spawn in the fortress AND the blaze too, and if you are in the biome of the video ghasts too, so the golem its going to die always and the farm is not going to work.

to get a wither head to drop, it needs to be killed by a tamed wolf or a player. The trident killer involves a trident which is thrown by a player so it counts.

The Trident will come off the piston as it's supposed to. It will get pushed around by the piston damaging them as it gets moved around.
