I ordered an Equinox 700 tonight going to make that my primary detector and my Vanquish 540 Pro Pack will be my backup detector. I hope I really see a big difference between them.

I bought this for water and it does great. But I use a Deus 2 on land. Thought I'd give this a try on land...and the overload false tones are ridiculous. Im in New England..Now, I know a detector is going to throw a overload now and then over iron. But I'm getting SOLID sounding mid tones over iron on All Metal, and have to turn and swing about 8 times to get the true iron tone. And it throws MID TONES as false tones. Which is very confusing, Deus 2 will throw a high false tone now and then but those are real easy to catch on to. The Deus 2 gives me the true iron reading and tone on the 2nd or 3rd swing. I understand it just has a slower processor. But I was surprised at how confused it got in iron patches. Still a great water machine, but sticking to the Deus for the former home sites.

Just received my 700. After factory reset my machine still reads a US quarter as iron in park 2 and field 2. Has anyone else seen this?
