I am really glad you enjoyed watching @G. Alex Robinson thanks heaps mate. The TID charts are super handy for learning those numbers mate, especially when first starting out detecting. I would love to put one together for US coins and relics to help out but unfortunately I just don't have the items to test. You find a lot of 'gold coins' Australian metal detecting videos. Are those gold 1 pence, 2 pence and such real gold? Like jewelry type gold? Thanks! Also, I can get the 800 with a pro pack for about $1,400 USD I can't find a 900 with a pro pack. Is it really worth the difference in price to get the single 900 for the price of an 800 Pro pack? Is the 800 much better than the vanquish 540??? Thanks!

Hi how do you ground balance? I went hunting today with my new 900. Absolutely awesome machine. I went to the beach after being at the park and could not figure out how to ground balance. I kept getting -11‘s etc. Was very frustrating. I definitely felt like I did something wrong?

you just have mineralized soil... nothing to be upset about.. you could even set it at 0 if you wanted a lot of people run on the beach with 0... if you are getting chatter, lower the sensitivity

hey there , so I get to about 3.48 when you start talking about the iron bias and that doesn't come up on mine, I rewatched and watched which buttons you pushing in case im missing something , EEKS! I cant work out how ive gone wrong ??

@Short - Stay Accommodation, New Zealand when in recovery speed mode, you need to long press and hold the settings button in the middle of the screen to change through to the iron bias setting. You can then press and hold the settings button again to return back to the recovery speed setting🙂 I hope this makes sense.

Do you have to change settings for the beach settings or are they preset

@Bert Taylor if entering out of park 1 mode and into beach mode, then yes you would have to re adjust these settings spoken of in video. Happy Digging👍⛏️

Hi guys I wanted to do metal detecting because I'm retired and I would enjoy doing it but I come across that you cannot dig in the parks or footways or Crown land recording to the city council I understand to cover up the holes properly with the good idea where can I really do metal detecting without getting into trouble and where can I do it rather than to be locked up in my house I consider it as exercising but having fun too

Hi there @Robert Bridge thanks so much for your comment mate. In regards to digging in local public areas, it would be best to first check with your council or shire. Each have different rules but if digging clean and taking your rubbish with you then there should be no issues. Look into Tyger Stainless Steel hand diggers for a great little hand digger in parks etc. I highly recommend and use them in all my videos🙂 Best of luck and I hope you enjoy this fantastic hobby👍⛏️

I find it odd that everyone that tries to explain the features of the 900 are always comparing it to the 800. I guess you assume everyone either has or knows about the 800 and 600. I wonder how many people have bought a 900 and have never even touched an 800 or 600.

This one like so many reviews are not true 900 reviews. The spend 1/2 time telling how the detector differs from other or older models. Please just review the model in your hand.
