I ordered the shaft online. Then just measured cut and drilled holes to hold the battery and control pod. Very easy to do. I am tall and wanted a longer shaft then you can buy. It was also a lot cheaper then buying it.

Beach Digger. Thank you for the upload it helped a lot. I'm sorry but I need to correct a word you keep using in the wrong context. You keep writing "then" when it should be "than". It's my age I'm afraid. It was drilled into me in boarding school in Germany. No offence meant.

it's going good. it was getting thin in a few spots. I added some more epoxy to it. No other problems with it.
