I want in on this action! Let’s look at some of the early bullets 1. Mother who taught at a ‘fiercely competitive’ high school & father who was a medical researcher. 2. Moved out, along with their son of a house they owned. 3. Leaving a 9-year-old girl to fend for herself. Both parents had high profile jobs, one word of the above would end their careers, social circles and probably land a prison sentence on one or both. The golden son (assuming he’s not an adult) would be taken into care (the daughter too, naturally). To get the positions they were in, one could assume both were well educated; so, did their brains drop out of their arses? And the house itself - it’s rare for people to not be possession/wealth centric…were they so well off that they could disregard a property, just to ‘get away from’ a nine-year-old? Definitely AI written. EDIT --- Perhaps not. The lack of description on the video leaves this open to interpretation. So, it would also be fair to say that this video could be a creative piece, actually written or edited by a person. Either way, I still don’t think this is a real-life story. EDIT-2 --- Regardless of the first edit: The OP description of herself seems consistent with aspergers syndrome

I don’t think OP is stupid I think they might just be experiencing childhood signs of ADHD. I had a similar situation with school and often flunked out of my classes even though I practiced and knew the information I couldn’t get through more than half of a test or worksheet because it was almost painful to do. If it wasn’t for medication I would probably still be in high school at 21.

@@Mr.Yahoo_Zoom Okay but you're an outlier, it's a disorder on a spectrum so there are bound to be some that may not suffer with their education. However, people with ADHD are known to often struggle in school especially if they go undiagnosed/unmedicated for too long. I was fairly good in school but struggled with math, it wasn't that "it was entirely on me", it was that math is boring and I struggled with concepts as well as not being able to remember formulas. I studied, I even had tutors. But I still struggled, despite that I graduated with a high GPA. Once I got diagnosed and found out ways to make up for my weak areas I do very well now in college. I have very good reading comprehension skills and had the ability to read at higher levels as a child but I didn't start reading at higher levels until I found books that interested me. And that's a me thing because many other people with ADHD struggle with literacy and/or reading comprehension, but because I had a great parent and teacher they both made sure my literacy was up to snuff before I entered middle and high school. I can read medical books and mostly understand whatever I'm reading about IF I'm interested in it. And I keep bringing up the "interest" thing because that's a key part of the disorder, a lack of interest in something will create the inattentiveness/focus problem because we need a dopamine hit, and for many, the outward hyperactivity may also be a factor in their struggles. So maybe just maybe don't say shit like "you flunking was entirely on you" and "I also have ADHD and have straight A's" that's not how shit works, it makes you sound unsympathetic and ignorant. Jesus.
@Maninawig Жыл бұрын
It may not be ADHD directly, but it does sound like a neurodivergence. Low spectrum Autism does come to mind too.
@dragon723. Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.Yahoo_Zoom That's anecdotal evidence at best. Children with ADHD generally struggle in school, whether its because they can't concentrate, are overly active, or one of the many other ways ADHD is expressed. It also varies in severity from person to person so while one person might be able to learn to control it relatively easily, others need strong medication to stablize them that has various side effects. Its good for you that you got straight A's I guess. As a student with ADHD that makes you an outlier not the norm.

Saw a similar story over several years. Arrogant academic parents, kid with supposed intelligence, to me he could only parrot back what was in our textbooks, always pushing him to achieve. Mid senior year he suffered a mental breakdown in class, I wasn’t there, and after psychiatrists examined him the parents were told they had over worked and pressured him without letting him be a kid and later a teen.

Did you know that high levels of distraction is a sign of high levels of intelligence, because the ones with concentration problems think about lots of thoughts at the same time and so fast that they wouldn't understand how they got to the final thought they are thinking and this means being able to think super fast and think better resulting in high levels of intelligence.

The brother didn't disown the sister, he was simply indoctrinated in elitism, believing it was the best for his sister. If he did truly disown her, there would be no reason for him to talk about her in college.

The brother had a good relationship with OP til the parents up and moved. He probably felt awful leaving her behind and was counting the days til he could run. He got his eye opener in college and happily disappeared during graduation. Brother was probably ready to take care of her had he returned, and she was still struggling somehow. This is basically a Hallmark script at its core, lol.
