Hi loving the videos been a great help but I have a problem with the feed they wasting so much food it's crazy I've tried so different seeds they just take what they want plz help

They do waste a lot of feed if they can throw it all around. You can drop wire mesh on top of the feed with 1/2 inch openings that does not allow the birds to throw the feed around. The wire must sit right on top of the feed. Maybe email what is happening and I can help. Send photos

My pigeons r getting pretty skinny and I feed them daily and give them canker medication and other vitamins and medicines do u have any suggestions to fatten them up

Can minerals from a farm store be used instead or do they need to be pigeon products?

Stay away from the farm store minerals. They are 98% or more salt.

Great question but all the mineral mixes and mineral blocks have a high content of salt. I should have mentioned that. Thank you for this!

@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons I find that pigeons will eat ANYTHING if it is salty and they need salt. I prefer to use minerals low in salt but still have a gallipot of salt and they decide what they want. If they need salt and they are eating grit to get it...that can throw a wrench into things. When I have bought expensive minerals ( that people tell me they gobble up) it rarely gets eaten but I will fill the salt gallipot several times before adding more mineral. The one mineral they seem to always take is some Kilpatricks...I assume for the carbon. You give darn good advise Frank and you should get an award for sharing.

@@tommak1822 Thank you! You are right about the salt and small seeds added to the minerals. The companies want to sell a lot of product. By having salt separate is a good thing. Consider buying Salt Water Aquarium salt. It is loaded with trace minerals that are beneficial in sea water.
