This video is invaluable to me. Trying so hard to learn the basics of sewing quality fabrics like linen and wool. When you have noone to teach you in person, and were never taught these things growing up, its like you're a mom to us. Thank you for sharing your time and wisdom.

This is really helpful - I am about to sew the Nova coat - put it off from last year as I was a bit overwhelmed but your guidelines have been great. You are very clear and logical in your presentation so it was very easy to take notes too. Thankyou.

Thank you so much for the tip about scissors! I'm making the Bianca coat in a stunning moss green boiled wool and finishing the edges in a varigated thread on my overlocker.

Is it recommended to wash your boiled wool fabric prior to sewing?
@MinervaDotCom Жыл бұрын
We recommend hand washing or dry cleaning boiled wool - However, you can always test a sample in your washing machine

I’m looking to create a cape like coat (Zara 3692/951/524) but I live in a cold climate, is boiled wool a good option? Should I opt for something warmer?
