You are welcome, it was worth the time I think to show the tricky part.

I’m enjoying your videos. You explain things well and your results look good. I would love to make this caftan for my sister. I’m glad your sewing machine is upgraded a bit.

Thank you so much for this video!! I'm working on the garment right now and the centre square was really confusing to me. You made it so clear and easy! Amazing skill you've acquired here.

Jo, that looks so nice on you. Do you press your seams on the gauze the same as you would on other fabrics? ❤

Mmm, if it has a crinkled texture I don't press it with such a hot iron. If it has a smooth texture then yes. This one had a silver finish so I used a press cloth. Hope that helps.

@@joanneroberts1088 just as I thought, thanks. I tried finger pressing and using steam from my iron at a distance so iron wouldn’t actually touch the crinkle fabric. It helps a little I found as you can finger press after steam to further open the seams better. Think we could do with a new invention for a crinkly steam iron lol 😆

@@carolhiller1112 Yes that would be good wouldn't it. I sometimes use a clapper on crinkled fabric. Steam away from the fabric then press lightly with the clapper but finger pressing is a good idea.

Thanks Jo. That’s my next project. I come up as a 12 bust and hips and 14 waist. Do you think a straight 12 would be ok?
