The time has finally come for the last part in the Union Mine series, at least for now. The Union Mine complex has been quite the adventure, and a challenge to explore. There is still so much to see, but the routes get more and more complicated the deeper you go. There is a limit to how deep we can get, simply due to time constraints. While I do think we'll be back eventually, we're taking a much-needed break from this mine after visiting on three separate occasions. But our group hates unfinished business, so we'll surely be back eventually.
In Part 8, we find another way down to the B-300 Level, and on the other side of the collapse we found in Part 7. We explore most of the remainder of the B-300 and find some interesting things along the way. We also finally find the "B" shaft, which look about as I had expected...
After 17 grueling hours underground, we emerged from the mine at about 2:00am and went straight to bed. Nearly every muscle in my body was sore the next day, and the day after too. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

I once stayed 72 hours in a mine exploring it and camping underground, it was a great adventure. Also about another 20 hours on day trips. I love those big mine adventures. Unfortunately not many left open these days.

For me personally, any man-made underground (western US hardrock being my standard) that you're willing to invest over 40 hours with typically resides in the "World Class" bracket. This consolidated set of workings sure qualifies; fascinating mine, and outstanding series! Thanks for taking the time to film and narrate it all.

The colors were awesome. All the rotting artifacts and timbers are a plus. Good crew you had with you. Amazing mineralization and sparkelies. Ladders and climbing and the natural caves in that mine were fabulous. Great explore.

It was a most fabulous explore! I so appreciate the fact that you all have the energy, desire, and expertise to not only do the arduous explore, but then to document, edit, and show it to us, your appreciative viewing audience is beyond amazing! Kudos my friends!

Looks like the miner's lunches were actually eggs, sardines and syrup. Calories and protein.👍. Thank you for all the hours of enjoyment your videos have brought. It takes a lot to refine your 41 hours worth of exploration into the refined product you put out.

Prior to WWII swastikas (sometimes bent clockwise, sometimes counterclockwise) were considered art/good luck symbols and were still found in many US public buildings when I was young.

Hi, first off what an absolutely fascinating mine, so many ups n downs and twists, awesome. Thank you not only for the amazing narration and the explore itself as a whole over all of the episodes, but also for all of the man hours it must have took to actually edit all of the footage, you really did a 1st class job. Thank you also for filming it all for us to see because it must have been hard enough to navigate around down there but you also had a camera and all of the associated essentials needed for such a trip, that lot would have been quite heavy to have to lug up and down through the various levels and to generally carry, it's much appreciated Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🙏💖

It seems as if you should try to do 'overnights' to avoid repeating the hours of ins and outs. Get down to a halfway decent place to rest and get an early start the next day (by the clock - no sunshine down there!). I really have enjoyed your videos and wish I were several decades younger and able to tag along.

Was thinking the same. Not common running into this issue outside of caving - a camp would make delving deeper far more palatable.

Maybe a camp for your next set of explorations, your also carrying a lot of gear in and out ,so a camp might be the the way to go, a dedicated day just to get the gear in.it was noticeable the lighting tailed off. Its been a good series that has been enjoyable to watch.
