At first this just confusingly sounds like the same thing said two different ways, but translated to what he actually means, it would be more something like "Heroes don't become heroes in order to gain fame and adulation. They are called heroes because of their self-sacrificing nature that makes people admire them.". And if you don't think Mineta would say something like that just think about what he says immediately after having that thought. "Isn't that right, Midoriya!?". He thinks if Izuku of all people as the example of what a hero should be like, especially after the events where he was stuck with Izuku and Tsuyu during the Villains' attack on the school practice grounds. Just from him calling out Deku there leaves no doubt in my mind that Mineta now truly understands what being a hero is all about and that it is the "correct" way to earn the respect and admiration of the ladies.

The irony is, in many ways, Bakugou is the most useless character: In the sense that while he's got few real weaknesses in Combat; he's pretty much ONLY combat. His Quirk is way to volatile to use on any jobs that DON'T involve beating up a bad guy

I don't hate mineta. There is FAR worse characters in manga/anime than mineta. Yes he is a pervert but he is still a nice guy. I don't like him but I don't hate or dislike him. I am neutral actually but I still can't understand why people hate a freaking teenager so much. A lot of anime characters are pervert. And some are far worse and others who aren't are far worse than Mineta. Either in manga/anime, cartoon or tv series. That character from Monster for example. Far worse than Mineta. The fact he was able to use very few Pop-Off grapes to keep litteral bridge parts to not fall on water is pretty impressive itself but the fact he was smart enough to use his quirk as both an utility / movement ability and a shield is even more impressive. Too bad his quirk doesn't stick to him on command as he's pretty much reliant to using a contraption as a shield but still amazing. His quirk has some crazy good utility potential and is a neat counter to anyone using weapons.
