The said character called Steampunk was revealed as a joke by Pix, their full name or gear name is Steampunk Glove, and it made sense for people to think it was actually steampunk who's the phighter 15, it made sense because in one teaser you can hear punching and as well as steam sounds, but it was later revealed that it was fake Aidn simply put the steam sfx in. Sodakettle confirmed steampunk is not canon, they won't become an NPC but their little poster will be in the new crossroads as Easter egg

I mean when you consider that Scythe’s biggest gimmicks, bullet resource and targeting vision, were barely hinted at in her trailer, I think it’s safe to say there is going to be some other layer that will not make Coil too op

Yeah, and also Coil seems to have a sort of style meter alongside everything else he can do. I think it's likely going to be that keeping a higher style meter is going to either improve your damage OR improve your buffs from the coil modes by keeping up the meter.

Well from what we can see. This guy obviously has a lot of melee hand to hand combat experience. Probably was or is a boxer or prize phighter. Though one of his horns is also cracked open and has small crystals coming out of it, there's also some kind of injury he's been recovering from under his left eye.... "CRYSTAL CRIMINAL DETECTED" is what Biograft said and anyone who has crystals most likely had dealt with Subspace in the past. He's also friends with Skateboard and that means he's probably lives in Playground. If you remember when the phone calls were accessible, Broker mentioned he heard a rumor that Skate was hiding someone in his house....maybe that's the connection to him being the "crystal criminal." I think he stole crystals from Blackrock to become more powerful but a bunch of Biografts swarmed him and it was too much for him that he retreated from Blackrock. He was fatally injured but made Skate found him and decided to help him get better by giving him housing, n all that jazz until he made a full recovery. And now we are here and Coil is back to kick more ass than ever.

They did a good job balancing scythe and coil doesn’t look that op, the biografts in the trailer purposefully play awfully and plus if his ult is that good it will take a while to charge. As seen when him and skate were fighting bio (that skate gameplay was abysmal btw) coil doesn’t have much base damage as shown in that 2v1 considering biografts low hp, jumppower is kinda a useless stat buff if I’m being honest, the speed buff didn’t look that good but that might’ve been because skate was on his board, and the regen most likely leaves coil himself extremely vulnerable, meaning you life is in the hands of whoever u gave the regen to most likely. Overall I have faith that the devs will balance him out.

heres some theories that might go alongside coil's moveset (i just realized why does coil remind me of the vaccinator from tf2): - combo system improves / upgrades your current support mode (so basically you get more speed / jump / healing when you have a higher combo) - you can only have 1 target for support, however if you have phinisher you (probably) can target multiple allies and have multiple abilities at the same time (like how the vaccinator works) - coil's heal beam has limited range - WHY DOES COIL HAVE THE SAME ABILITIES AS THE VACCINATOR FROM TF2 - has weaker healing than vinestaff and medkit, but coil might have a damage resistance thingy? (damage resistance = less damage taken and increases effective health)

dont know if im Allowed to leak his full kit yet lol health pool: 75/75 (as of right now) fusion is his phinisher, when activating he lunges forward and does the wwe slam if it makes contact with someone (stuns for a while) regen shield is kinda just a fusion of boombox and katanas shield + counter but they made it worse? gravity is the default mode when you spawn Q is the same in all modes and it allows you to retarget who youre supporting if youre asking how i know all this me leonjd and a bunch of my friends played in a priv

Personally, I think it's a bit bold saying Coil might be OP with so little information on him yet. Plus they are entering the testing phase, so they will likely have balancing changes later down the line. And the thing about Coil being too powerful with another support, isn't that what supports do? Lastly with Steampunk glove, they were a bait-&-switch, confirmed by Boggio, too. Typically foreshadowing for future Phighters would be a lot more subtle as well, but that's just what I think. (hopefully this didnt come off as rude i just have a lot to say)

Since coil already launched, i thought he was going to be stronger and somehow he managed to be fairly equilibrate, he stand in the middle ground between support and melee and is more like pick someone and fight side to side rather than support the whole team at once
