mini apple turnovers | re run | Aussie girl can cook

I learnt how to make these many decades ago in my last year of home ec. they are easier to make than they look and there moreish. recipe written below.
1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
1 apple peeled cored and cut small into a bowl then add
1 tea spoon lemon juice
1 table spoon apricot jam
mix gently til apple covered
2 table spoons ground almonds or almond meal
1 table spoon plain flour
1/4 tea spoon cinnamon
mix then add
2 tea spoons butter
rub between finger tips
then add to the apple
mix all together gently
quarter set aside
cut pastry into 4
filling in middle
cut 8 each side
cut both ends off
wrap around filling
cut the 8 each side in halves again
plate one side over then the other side over etc
to freeze place on tray uncovered freeze for 2 hours
then wrap in glad wrap and freeze up to 2 months
to cook the same day leave in fridge for 2 hours
pre heat oven 200 degrees C
place on tray with baking paper
brush over with milk
bake aprox. 28 mins
from frozen 30 to 35 mins
dust with icing sugar
serve with fresh cream or ice cream
they are big enough to give kids one each

naww thanx pete a little while yet. finally a couple of weeks off finishing the back yard. it has taken forever. been working on the cookbook at nights. once back yard done i can do cookbook full time and hopefully have enough time to throw at least one new vid up a week. it will come down to ingredients. one hill at a time. im trying my hardest to get back asap cos i too miss it a lot. have a great weekend mate 😊💜🍻
