Well done for building an observatory with his own hands !!! For the future, you need to know that the cement slurry is prepared in sequence - first water, then cement.

Im lucky enough to work in the steel (Rebar, Mesh) industry and our work can make pile cages (columns) just perfect for a pier....shame i dont own a Telescope or land to build an observatory.
