i kinda flew threw the video, but I didn't see a vacuum. That port with the big filter needs to have a vacuum attached that hopefully moves near the cfm of the compressor pumping in to maintain a slightly negative pressure for the intake filter.

No it doesn't have a vacuum or hookup from factory. I have built an extractor system for it since this video was created. That episode will be live soon.

What kind of air compressor is best for this? also does it need a tank great video

When it comes to air.. bigger is normally better. You will find compressors all have a CFM and PSI rating. This will tell you how much air the compressor can produce at a given pressure. You need to ensure that those numbers are greater than what is listed on the sand blaster. My unit requires 2.1cfm at 90psi, I run a dual compressor setup that can produce 10.cfm at 120psi. The primary compressor is a 20gal belt drive unit, if the psi in the system drops bellow 100psi the second smaller direct drive unit comes on to help keep up with demand. My only recommendation when looking at what type of compressor to buy would avoid oiless units. They are not as durable, have low duty cycles, are extremely loud, and have much shorter life span.

absolutely, which is why I normally wear a respirator. It's also why making a dust collector is very high my list... But first I need to make a cyclone separator.

If it is actually sand it is really bad, but it looks like crushed glass. Still don't want to breathe a lot.
