How long should a belt last based on miles or hours of use? I'm not abusing the mini bike. It's the Go Power Sport Moto with the Tillotsen 212 Engine and I weigh 160 lb.

I have a belt I changed last week that I put on my bike in October of 2023. I don't ride my bikes easy, I pretty much beat the hell out of them. So depending on which brand(gl and sorry I have no advice there)they can last a good stretch. Blackhorse Racing I got a 3 pack of belts from that one was out of. The other 2 died early due to my pulleys being misaligned an a few other issues. If i could remember who I just bought new ones from I would recommend those also sorry,
@NubsWithGuns5 ай бұрын
@@brandonwebb2529 That is the issue I had(my old bike is a cluster****)and have seen others have. If the pulleys are misligned or if any of it isn't exactly the way it needs to be, nothing is going to last.

Prediction : as the belt should ride higher on the driver I would expect slower acceleration and higher top speed, belt life would be drastically reduced due to the increased heat through belt slip but as I don't know how many miles the belt would last on that engine in that state of tune it is hard to tell how long it would last the wrong way around.
@Black665 ай бұрын
That is a spot on prediction!

Black 66, 2.76 and its shredded lol🤣…but seriously, how are you getting that kind of top speed with that setup? All my stuff with those stock drivers go 45mph ish and peg out around 4500rpms with those style drivers. I’ve tried bigger and smaller rear sprockets, and still not much of a difference🤨
@alanfelix80705 ай бұрын
Try changing ur belt to a good one and also the torque converter sprocket I have a 18 in the torque converter and stock rear end going 50 mostly I’ve gotten it up to 55 but it’s stock 212 with only carb,exhaust and governor removed but will drop down to a 14 front and 40tooth in the rear
@Deucealive754 ай бұрын
If the bike in the video has a 50 tooth sprocket it was topping out at around 4600 RPM. I'm not sure how you are only getting to 45 at 4500 RPM.
@Deucealive754 ай бұрын
@@alanfelix8070 What bike do you have that gearing on? Most of us do not like 10/50 sprockets and a torque converter on the Coleman bikes. 18/50 sprockets would be 10 times worse.

I just put a $60 Amazon torque converter on my stock RT200 and its doing 42mph now. Its Much smother too 👍
@NubsWithGuns5 ай бұрын
They seem to make the torque delivery smoother and stronger than make a bike faster. Although everything working smoother does make my bikes run quicker overall, which is way more important than how fast I can go. There is a few inexpenive ones on crapazon that are great so don't put yours down too much lol.
@mikefox15125 ай бұрын
@@NubsWithGunsI backed the throttle screw out and moved the spring on the governor arm to the middle of the hump. It comes pre drilled on the rt200. I was topping out at 27mph. So the CVT gave me like 15mph more, I was totally surprised.
@NubsWithGuns5 ай бұрын
@@mikefox1512 Well of course I forget to think that not everyone sets theirs up for offroad like I do. I need it to not shift up on me and stay in the power band, so I put my spring on the back hole and just tweak everything else with it. Adjusting that screw to the right spot right before the gorvernor kicks is one of the things i did with my stage 1 predator. Probably doesnt make a difference to a lot of people, it just helped get everything tuned in together for me.
