Your takedown method is genius! I never thought of that. I’m currently wearing mini braids; I do 2 month intervals and then wear my hair in puffs or Afro. Im trying to grow my hair with no weave and you are the representation I needed. Long hair is definitely possible in our ethnicity, modern conditioning has simply stunted us.

I wear them under wigs but I think the next time I do them I’ll do them smaller and add a little braiding hair

I usually don't comment on videos, in fact this is my first time. I just wanted to say thank you. I am so grateful that you keep sharing your journey with us. Finally someone with my hair type! This is so exciting. You had me at "combs aren't for me and they're never gonna be for me" 🤣 I feel the exact same way. I went two years without combing and gained some serious length. Then I decided to follow other KZbinrs and start using combs, I changed my products based on recommendations and generally neglected my hair and here we are today. But thank God for channels like yours, I'm re-learning a lot and I've already made progress over the past 4 months. Bless you!

Hey LinlyBanda-gi2wr! Thank you so much for watching my videos! I feel so honored that I'm the 1st person whose video you chose to comment on! Yes, I was really hellbent on trying to make combs work for me about half a decade back and one day I just had this realization that combs just will never cut it with my hair loll! It's hard out here for a natural, people are always telling you different things out here and it causes for people to have to sift through all the information to figure things out unfortunately, it was the same for me as well. I will do my best to continue to share things that I discover that could make the journey easier for others. I'm so glad that you've been making progress over the past 4 months! God bless you as well! :)

Truth! I have 4c hair and combs arent meant for me! Ever since I throw out all my combs and I've been wearing mini braids and been using my fingers only my hair is thicker and stronger! And a hair care routine my hair is thriving!

I think at this length, large two strand twists would be good. Easy to take down and easy to transition into a twist out style

I accidentally started my mini braid journey yesterday!😂❤ How long did it take you to reach your current length? You mentioned 9 months of struggling with your natural hair in a different video , do you have pictures of your hair throughout your journey? Do the women in your family have hair like yours? It’s all so inspirational! Thank you for sharing.

It’s like the algo read this comment and then put your very first video in my homepage. It answered almost all the ??s above. Buuutt would still love to see pics 😍 and I’m still wondering if you come from a family of tailbone lengthed goddesses…the genetics question is always a popular one I’m sure…

Hi Theexperimentersstudio, It took me 12 years. The first 9 years I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but during the last 3 years I figured it out. Yes I do, I'm planning on putting a natural hair journey video out soon as well showing the progression throughout the years from start to finish. No my family doesn't have any women with super long hair or anything. The only woman who's hair was slightly past her shoulders was my grandmother I believe.

Hey lilgeefrmdav3135, I'm going to be posting a lot more soon, structuring content is a skill that some are blessed with being able to do and keep up with naturally and one that others sometimes have to hone to get to that level of frequency. I'm unfortunately the latter at the moment, but not for long!

So how many mini braids do you typically install?
@EtherielleHB
@EtherielleHB 2 ай бұрын
Hey abundantambiance991! Honestly, there isn't usually a specific number that I go for. Most of my mini braids have been between 100 and 215. 215 being the most I've ever done on my head, but you can definitely go smaller than that if you want. The last time I did mini braids I was at 150 or something like that. Please don't quote me on the last number though loll!
