9MONTHS???!!! Are you trying to lock your hair 😂 The max I do is one month. Terrible advice!!! My hair grows more than an inch in a month. I do a lot of treatments and scalp massages. And no it’s not genetics. Everyone in my house has short hair. I used to have short hair all my life till I started taking care of it

Hi@@chelseaanthony533. To answer your question, I'm not locking my hair. You must be new to this channel as the methods I use on my braids that I've shown before (and also in this video) is what keeps my hair from locking. Certain people tend to be shocked or confused when they come across this video for the first time, typically the ones who only watch certain parts of it. Congrats on learning about what works for you and your hair and learning how to grow it out! That's something that is always a joy to discover!

I've gone through similar situations as you, it's frustrating but you're not alone! You and your natural hair are beautiful! Would you ever consider making a "getting to know you" type video? Or vlogs? You seem really cool!

Hiii ethrielle, just wanted to say your hair is absoutely stunning, me to i always feel anxious going out with my natural hair, afraid that people are going to judge me or say negative comments about my hair, saying that it makes you loook ugly or you look better with your hair out. But especially, those who dont want to invest the time or put in the effort to grow their natural hair, they just dont understand the time it takes to care of our 4c hair without it breaking off or getting it matted and tangled. Some people are just lazy and they just dont want to take the time to take care of their hair. You are such an inspiration to black girls with kinky 4c hair texture having the same hair type as me. Thank you so much for making this video and being able to share your thoughts. Im already a suscriber of yours and looking forward to more of your content. Pls can you do 10 plus how to style mini braids, using hair wax on your mini braids, an updated mini braid installation video, and how exactly you reached hip length, hair reviews. These are just some suggestions, but dont feel pressured These are just things you could take into consideration. Hope you have the best day etherielle and to anyone else who is reading this comment❤😊🥰 This comment feels rushed, so sorry about that but i just had so much to say

@EtherielleHB
@EtherielleHB Ай бұрын
Hey dijasnaturals ! It definitely can, my hair tends to be finer at the front perimeter of my head as well, I also used to have bangs in that area, and mini braids had grown them out waay past the length I expected it to grow out. It's almost caught up to the longer parts of my hair!

Your beauty is a threat to a lot of people. And then you have your long pretty hair. That’s another major threat to a lot of people. Not just black females. But black dudes too. Because a lot of black dudes expect a lot of black women to be bald or have short hair. So they’re also shocked and confused when they come across someone like you who takes care of their hair and their overall health. You don’t need to be confused. They’re the ones lost and confused. I see more bald white females than anything. So you have to see that they are also confused why their hair is thin and bald and you have enough for 2 or 3 of them. Girl by. Ain’t nothing wrong with you. You’re perfect.

Deep down they want that hair too🤷🏽‍♀️ its jealousy but then they try to make themselves feel better by making dumb comments. I'm African( Nigerian) and i get mixed comments. Alot of people stare at my hair and i get alot of compliments. While some think i do not have money😆 to afford "so called damaging elaborate hairstyles" but then they always ask my friends to ask me what i use on my hair but never! to me directly😂😂😂. I have learnt to really love my hair so what other ppl think or say doesnt really bother me😂 cos deep down i know you wish it was you to😌
@EtherielleHB

Loll! You're right! People can be ridiculous and jealous sometimes. Since that incident, I have gotten some compliments so things have gotten a little better since then. Wearing my hair out of braids for the first time in a long time has definitely attracted some mixed energy and comments, and the experience is teaching me more and more about being unbothered about what people think about me or say about me. I'm extremely grateful for the challenges even if I'm out of my comfort zone during those situations. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me! It encourages me, and lets me know I'm not alone in experiencing this. :)

black people in the hood are afraid to become smarter and Gain wisdom because they'll get bullied for it. They think ignorance is apart of black culture. And It's really not. Black People can be so much better if they understood how powerful they really are. But the self-hate negates Self-improvement.

I just want to say to the people who are getting offended by this, There’s a difference between being appreciative and finding the Good in a circumstance And choosing to see your hardships in said circumstance as strengthening. Rather than completely glorifying/idolizing it with a sprinkle of toxic positivity. Because all and all the hood is not something to be praised or a life style to be encouraged. I had my uncle shot in the hood, my brother almost got shot in the hood,I am scared to go outside in the hood, we here gun shots in the hood, education is low in the hood. An ALOT more then this happens in the hood. You can find the good in a situation, but to completely let that overshadow the complete anarchic nature of the hood in an attempt to make it seem “not that bad” or “fun” is mind blowing. Because two things can be true at once, but which one of the two is more apparent in your life in the hood? Cuz idk about you but I love my family here. but do I love this place? These people?? NO.

I think some of yall are missing the point that’s she’s calling out people NOT from the hood that glorify and wish they had those lifestyles. She’s not trying to diminish those who did actually live in the hood because (usually) most of those people understand that it’s not the best place to live even tho it made them stronger.
@TRey5o5

Right?? People forget two things can be true at once you can find joy/strength in a situation but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good? brains left the building n are home sick.
