for the lakes, you just dig out an area, and you can use the terrain tool with the 3 blocks icon to smooth it out. You build the under construction buildings using the terrain tool as well.

You go in to terrain and then at the bottom you see 3 blocks and if gives you building blocs you can rescale them and stuff (if you dint want me to expose it I can delete this comment)
