Mini Composition Notebook Cover Tutorial!

I was goofing around with an idea last night and this is what happened. I made a cover for mini composition books that you can reuse. This is great stash buster and also a great craft fair idea.
My notebooks were 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. I practiced with stash papers I had, but in the tutorial I used Bloom Where You're Planted paper by Country Craft Creations. That can be found here, www.countrycra.... You will need a 12 x 12 sheet however, and this is currently sold out in that size, but there are other amazing papers available, so please do check them out!
You will need one piece of patterned paper at 10 x 5 5/8 to make the cover, then decorate how you see fit.
This will be explained in the video as well...
To make the covers, please measure your books and make sure the patterned paper size is correct. You will need 3 1/2" added to the width of the open notebook to create the pockets to insert the notebook into, plus a little wiggle room. Mine was 3 1/4" wide, opened is 6 1/2", plus 3 1/2" made 10" wide for the patterned paper.
The height of the patterned paper will be the height of the notebook plus 1 1/8". This gives the 1/2" needed to reinforce the edges plus 1/8" for wiggle room. My notebook was 4 1/2", plus the 1 1/8" made 5 5/8" tall.

I've been covering these little notebooks for a craftfair as a one and done. BUT WOW!!! I love this idea! Will you put it in a little bag or or tie with a ribbon? I had to add... This is even so much easier than the other way I was doing it.

I was going to package them in a plastic bag like for cards but I do have some that I can tie with a ribbon which would be way cuter!

Silly question...what are you using to wipe the excess glue? 4x4 gauze pads?

That’s exactly what I use. Lint free and I don’t have to dry baby wipes.
