Hello guys, I wanted to buy a mini, especially the manual tranny, 2008 or up; just to get two things out of my system: owning a manual in USA and Owning a Mini Cooper in my life. Do you still suggest this car? or it is better to steer of "MINI" as, I'm hearing bad things about the car. Forgot to mention, this will be the only car, until I get a family. Since, it is a FWD, I don't worry about snow. I already got motorcycle off my list :)

Get the new ones . Old ones aren’t reliable and new ones much better in regard of styl reliability and technology . My personal advice to you . If you can afford the new ones best go for that 2015+ . If not buy something else

Ridiculous comment. Plenty of perfectly good drivers are insecure about reverse parking into a bay or parallel parking. Probably because they never had to do it after their lessons and so lost the skill and experience.
