We turned it off shortly after the video and haven't turned it on since. It's the irritating seat belt warning that counts against it!

The message that I like on mine is letting me know that I have the A/C on when a window is open!

I'd forgotten about that one! My kids loved the Mission Control voices and they still talk about it even now.

If your car had sat-nav perhaps it uses the POI information?

I imagine it’d be less of an annoyance if there were more options for who was speaking, but I’m guessing that’s the point of the sd card?

To be fair, my kids loved it, but like a lot of modern car tech it's far too keen to make its presence known. I have heard of people re-recording sound clips to the SD card (Brian Blessed, Michael Caine etc.) which sounds fun but personally, I was glad for the ability to turn it off.

What happens if you do a handbrake turn? ‘Wheeeee!! Please release the handbrake’ ??? 😄

Apparently if you do a race start it it tells you how long you were at full throttle! I'll find a field and do a handbrake turn and find out what happens then - in the interests of science of course!
