Mini Cooper R56 Hidden Menu

How and where do you enter the unlock code? Nothing pops up on entering an unlock code for me in these menus, and it looks like a step that was cut out in this video.

When I turn the ignition on with the key pushed in, the car goes to accessory mode like normal, but then when I hold the trip meter button it does not bring up the VIN or change anything for that matter.

thanks for the video. Can I program on this option that my windows get closed when I press the locked button? the windows open itself while pressing the unlock button but I can't close it it's really helpful to do this cause I often forget to close the window or sunroof

Not using this menu, you'd need a coding diagnostics tool for that.

Hi, the hidden menu worked a few times for me. But now that I’ve done some work on the car. I am NoT able to access the hidden menu. When holding down trip reset button (nothing comes up) I do hold it for a long period of time. 2011 mini copper s r56. Please help 😅

You do not actually show menu 2 unlocking. It seems user presses button until relevant code then do nothing, until display changes. My displays sits at "Lock Code on Code 32" (32 for me - double checked vin) r57 2008 UK

I have a Mini Cooper Convertible (2010) R57, but the revolution display does not show Temp, Distance to Empty or MPG when pressing the button on indicator stalk, it only toggles between a blank row above the mileage or SET/INFO option. Any advice on how to enable the OBC information?

Unfortunately not, these aren't that customizable. You'd have to open it up each time to have the water temp displayed.

Could you help me whit some questions? On my cluster when i press the button to go through the options I only have the miles, current speed, temperature and the options menu (Set options), there is no fuel consumption info. When i go to number 4 it says "No information" I do get information on number 5 but i don t undesrtan what it means is it an avarege of my consuptions every 100km? Since it shows 'actual' fuel consumption, you won't see anything unless the car is running. Since the engine isn't running, there is no fuel consumption at the time. Option 5 would be your average consumption in liters per 100 kilometers, correct. Option 5.1 will show you how much you can drive on the remaining fuel in liters - range until tank is empty. @@SimpleCarGuy thanks for answering, but still when I start the car option 4 does not give me information, when I bought the car the old owner said that they had disabled the option to see the consumption unintentionally in the brand shop when they were trying to reset the service info. again ty so much

It’s factory navigation system. I’m sure you could retrofit, but that would be really expensive.

I can’t get mine to unlock. 24785=26. I get it to 26, hold the button, disappears, comes back lock ON. I noticed in your video, when you hold the button and it disappears, when it comes back on for a split second, it says lock ON then there’s an edit in the video and it’s OFF. How many times you had to try or what else you had to do to get it OFF?

I think I tried it 2 times, but honestly I don't remember now. It's very strange that it doesn't work for you. I can't think of any reasons why it wouldn't other than maybe you had the cluster replaced?

@@SimpleCarGuy I figured it out. Once it comes back and still says locked, I got completely out of the menu, went back to the beginning and started the procedure over. It was unlocked. Went to 19 to check and it was lock OFF.

In this hidden menu, can we check the actual mileage? Intend to buy a used car... but heard that most of the used car dealer tempered and lower down the actual mileage.

1.1 is the kilometer counter which shows KM from when the car was new. The car then takes that value and coverts it to miles. I assume that if someone knows how to temper with mikes they would know about this part as well. But it’s worth checking.

What are the last 7 digit of your VIN and what number are you entering?

Have you connected the phone to the car? I believe you have to do that first and then the bluetooth option will show up for music/phone.

Good morning. I have just read your question regarding the bluetooth issue. Have you been able to solve the problem? I have bought a Mini Cooper R56 for my daughter and there exists the same problem, that the Bluetooth check box can not be activated. The USB and Aux connection is not working as well.
