With your current EV that's not particularly dangerous, but whatever no-name brand that receptacle is won't cut it when you start pulling 32+ amps. Installers are now recommending against plug in type EVSE's due to a concerning amount of receptacle melting and fires. Even the good ones like Hubbel or Bryant have had melting issues on proper installations. Those receptacles were never meant for continuous high amp draw. You also save a bit by not having to run a useless neutral wire because of receptacle code. I switched my NEMA 6-50 outlet to hardwiring my EVSE instead.

Those old plugs look really good. You could probably use them for another 50-100k.

still charging with a dryer plug splitter and an extension cable i made by poking a 1cm hole thru the drywall. my landlord thought it was cool, but i told him i would fix the wall before i moved out.... i fix everything in his block of houses. whole thing cost 80 bucks and my car only has a 10kwh battery which charges at max 3.2kw, thats like the same as running a space heater for 2.5hrs. kind of different than a full ev.

Really good video. But he made the same mistake I see 95% of people make. The battery has a vent hole on each end. He inserted the vent hose in one hole but left the other hole open. Leaving the plug out makes the vent hose worthless. The red positive post cover he discarded has a small red plug attached to it to insert in the vent hole not used.

When you come out back to the original screens how do you get back to Apple car play ? Or do you have to turn off and back on again ?

I called an electrician to put in that special plug 🔌, they wanted $4000😮. So i just wait overnight on a 110.

Great video! I have had mine for over 2 tears. Great scanner, tough and durable, I also bought an extension cable for mine, I recommend a 2.5-3.5 length cable. I did have and issue with a code P1745, a counter code,which caused my 2011 caravan to go into limp mode. The scanner could not clear it. I tried many times unsuccessfully. KZbin research did the Fix! The scanners that are probably 3.5K and more Might be able to clear this code, if they have the supported Chrysler FCA program installed into these. One KZbinr posted a fix video, which I followed to completion. I had to buy a download the Appcar Diagfca .for Chrysler vehicles. And use a Vlinker, with it to communicate to the vehicle. Now everything works! Xtool, has been Very cooperative with me on this! Highly recommended scan tool!

The only issue with this system in my X5 is that it sounds really good upfront but in the back it’s almost nonexistent and the speaker is in the back. Yes, I looked at the settings and made sure that the balance wasn’t all the way up front. Would this amp solve that issue? Also, it’s not the HK, but it sounds good, not intense but good.

They should of kept the 3.0 n52 200000 miles on one still going and 170000 on my n55

My c3 have only been driven approximately close to 3 hours total, my electrical issue began. And I've exhausted my reach to the company for help with ideas or anything they can offer to help me. It fell on deaf ears. They are located in Connecticut, where I'm their neighbor in New York. I really like the way they built the bike. It's sitroing and sturdy. But sadly the electrical system failed me too early. It never saw rain and I was always parked indoors in my apartment. Everything seemed to do well until the electrical gave me a poor taste. Added with a failure to communicate with its American made company. I'm going to probably go after market and hope for the best. If I get it working, I'll probably donate it to the make a wish foundation and give someone smiles. I hope that it lasts them long and that's all anyone can wish for. Hope this info helps others. I loved the bike otherwise. It fits everywhere you need it to be put. Folds easily also. And the price was budget friendly at the time I purchased it. Now it went up over %100 since.

How did you know when you needed to change the water pump?

Great DIY system and I applaud you for not doing a 12v. This is great for anyone who wants to learn how solar works but and there's but, the all in one power station has become too cheap. Just like computers before. Building one is great learning but after a while pre-build computers became much cheaper than you can build one. I got a Dabbsson 1400 pro during BF for $480. That's a 2400w/1380wh unit with all the bells and whistle. I also just bought a 24v 50ah lifepo4 that came with a charger for $170 making my system @ $650. In total it 2400w/2650wh and it has wifi/bt connection with all the USB/DC ports. So the power station itself is powerful enough for just about anything and enough capacity. If you need more capacity, just use the lifepo4 to feed it through the solar port. Easy to carry around and easy to take it camping. Again I'm not knocking your system. It's great for learning. Just letting people know there are better and cheaper alternatives.

Have been a Fiat mechanic since the 80s, the timing belt/water pump should be changed at 90 thousand miles, never have seen wheel bearing noise until 100 thousand miles, the wires at the top of the rear hatch lid break from opening and closing the lid and cause electrical problems
