It was nice to see you giving us the mpg as opposed to my having to convert your figures to mpg from l/100km though I find it hard to believe you'd get 60mpg out of it on a motorway.

I used to have very high spec 2014 cooper S with 2 litre turbo, was a great car. Its surprise to see this latest model with only 1.5 engine and the same dashboard which is now 7 years old design. Another thing im shocked its the lack of LED headlights and touch pad, especially on press car...

A Cooper S is a 2.0 180bhp, not 1.5. Laughed at the Tiida reaction - exactly what I’d have said.

have to say enjoyed the review Bob! passat review insignia review and volvo review put me right on the last three cars was it just this cooper S being a rag top you liked or was it a good fun car to drive wether it had a roof or not ? considering an auto hard top now i dont do the motorway miles i used to!

They are Adidas Terrex trail runners, very comfy off-road as Continental make the sole but they are cold to wear in winter

Bob, the Cooper S is a 2.0 four not a 1.5 like you said at 10:09. The Cooper has a 1.5 3 cylinder. I'm guessing that UK is the same as Eire.

Mini documentation says the one in the video is a 1.5 producing 192hp so I assumed we were getting the smaller engine to save money on taxes.

The Cooper S is a 2 liter. This model is a special edition called sidewalk. which is why this is expensive.

I have had two convertibles. When I drove converted I always thought that it would be so much better with the roof back on and air condition turned up. I took my Golf Colour cabriolet to the south of France. Too hot and we got sunburnt. There are about three days a year in the UK when a convertible makes sense. It not about sense. Mini Convertible, hmmm maybe in a few years when some hit the used market.

Lovely car Bob, but, as someone has said, its not the 1.5, its the 2.0s. Test drove a 1.5 manual, lovely drive,but, that boot is a pain. The rear seats are for small kids or adult amputees only. I settled for a BMW 218. It has the same engine as the mini but more space. Not as brisk or maneuverable but, overall more practice. I also have an A class that has a Renault engine with more power, but, the BMW engine is much better

I knew that the Irish market, LCI MK3 MINI wasn't getting the 🇬🇧 tail lights. But you'd have thought they would still have fitted the LED headlights. The ones with the halo.
