not fast? compared to what? gt500 or zl1? the internationally accepted realm of performance cars is 0-60mph in 7.0 of faster.

My 2005 JCW R53 was 210HP stock and now 220 with 15% pulley. It will do 0-60mph in 5.9-6.1 seconds. Not fast? Tell that to the EVOs I destroy in B roads.

+Swolenator Stock is 163hp for the 02. 220hp is quiet a bit in a MINI. But you'll get more power out of a MINI built in 05-06. I have a 05 Cooper S making around 200whp and it is quick and a blast to drive.

i am almost 6 ft tall and have sat in the back of my 08 s. The front seats are concave, so there is more room than it looks. This is my favorite car I gave ever owned and it is a BEAST in the snow.

Depends what year and model your mini is. If its 2003 R50 / R53 it could have a 5 gear Midland gearbox, or the stronger Getrag 6 speed gearbox. In any case, figure out what you're running then contact the GEARBOX manufacturer directly to get a list of approved resellers and specialists.

220 hp in a r53 is possible but you'll need to put some cash in it. I have one.. it's a bit faster than the one in the video.. I have around 200 hp. they are awesome cars man. and that kind of power in that kind of car feels like 300hp... it's a blast

LOL. The license plate alone made me love his car. :D From the 20 second mark I already had a huge smile on my face. I've alwayss loved Mini Coopers too. That supercharger whine especially, really cool that he owns the R53. Maybe it's also because just like you, I watched and loved the movie The Italian Job. People can say they are girly and cute and whatever, but I would definitely own one. I would have a blast driving that thing, a quick little road legal go kart (or The Little Racecar That Could). The design of all the switches in the interior is really dope, "windows engage" lol. I was pretty excited when I seen Subaruwrxfan pick one up. Just sucks that Wrxfan didn't mod it because they do sound beastt with an exhaust, they crackle and backfire like crazy .. as shown in this video. :D Great review Evan. Keep em' coming. Oh, and sweet mini Mini on the dash!

Quick point about the Italian Job. The original Italian Job was a movie from the 60s featuring the old Austin Minis. Great movie featuring Michael Caine. I also loved the more recent Italian Job. Love Minis. I owned a 1993 Mini Cooper S back in England. Have been thinking of getting a modern Mini just as an economical car for when I do not need my truck.

my grandparents surprised me with a base model 2005 convertible last year and it's a blast to drive. I love the premium sound system from Harman/Kardon and I'm glad it has a standard transmission. I just recently replaced the spark plugs, serpentine belt, air filter, and clutch and now it runs great! I'm hoping to put in a few upgrades like intake, exhaust, remote starter, and rims.

He is dragging the clutch when he is letting it out. Don't do that. See how slow he is letting it out. The sports clutches are designed to let off right away and engage. Perfect example of how to burn your clutch up.
