Explain the numbering of your customers tapes? Do you give a loving bang and taps on the tapes to make sure there not bound up?

Tapes are numbered so there a numbered file to match. Those mini dv tapes had crinkled chewed up areas where they kept getting stuck. Had to cut and splice that portion out, then it rewound.

Hello, I need some advice. I have a lot of small dvd (dvd-r) (dvd-rw) I don’t have the original camcorder and I am unable to see the videos on the disc on a cd reader. I thought they were finalized but I guess they aren’t. Is there a way where I can finalize them without the camcorder or a way I can see them on my computer with a cd reader

The format is a nightmare, it’s all data recovery just like if you had multiple failed hard drives. So many variables I couldn’t even begin to diagnose without it being in front of me. If you’re hell bent on doing it yourself, there’s probably 30+ videos on the channel just for mini dvd and it’s all scattered info that you’ll have to look around and see if it pertains to your situations. If you’d like me to figure it all out, that’s an option. Gotmemories.com Again, this is data recovery and all time consuming, skilled work & it’s not a cheap project, reasonable yes, but it’s an investment in preserving your memories, esp on the extremely fickle mini dvd camcorder discs.

Loading mechanisms are common to go but once that fails and replace, then replace the head at the same time when that goes, can run for a long time, as long as you’re careful about not putting cruddy tapes in them.
