I've looked at several videos on this subject and this is the first one which explains how it works and how to do it clearly. Thank-you!

Thank you Ludic Science for showing authentic project by replacing the inner electronic controller of the fan. There is fake video showing that sticking magnets to the propeller and bringing the same polarity magnet near them produces lot voltage.

Thanks again, Ludic, for a good informative video. Don't forget. There are good Hall effect sensors on those fan circuit boards I am sure you will use for future projects...

u need to use a full bridge rectifier after the fan, a 5v 470uf cap and a the led will stay bright more time .

This was unncessarily violent. you just have to peel of the rear sticker, the ruber in the center, the plastic washer holding the blades axially, gently push it out, twist around the coil pack and push up. don't desolder the pcb, just add 2 wires to the coil leads while on the pcb. assemble everything back as it was factory made, let the wires hang out, connect them to rectifier and enjoy nicely packaged generator

It generates more energy from DC motors because it haves high capacity magnets in it but in CPU fans haves low capacity magnets so it generates low power so you can light up an small LED. Anyway that was cool 😊👍.

Oh man, you got me in trouble with the wife. I wanted to read a book in bed...so I pulled the fan out of her computer, some LEDs from her crockpot, and her favorite drinking straw. Then sat up in bed next to her all night blowing through the straw to keep the LED going to read my book.

Could you do a video making a hand crank phone charger using a microwave oven turntable motor?
@JustDum_4 жыл бұрын
daniel marson creative idea, the current generated by that synchronous motor is very low though the voltage is high so you may or may not charge a cell phone

At least in my case, the result was AC
