@@GablesOnTheGo I was also stationed at NAS BOCA CHICA in late 60s...lived at the corner of Newton and Fla. st. in a little duplex costing $90 per month 2bd, 1bath ....young and dumb didn't know what we had until they moved the squadron to Quonset Pt R I....where I was Honorably Discharged in 7970...Went straight back to Gainesville Ga. ... just like a Homing Pigeon....Finally had enough of Gainesvegas in 2012 moved to Destin Fl. ... which I call Destin Ga because of the Ga tags on the road and in restaurant parkin lots during tha summer season..... Still love my time in K W... have flown back to Lauderdale cpl times rented a convert and driven down for a long W E.... Ate so much lobster and shrimp bout foundered out on them...while down there....
