I think its all about marketing, wont cost bmw too much to create different versions on the same frame structure. Plus its the "MINI" brand and image most buyer going after. And its not a bad thing after all right? I personally really like mini cooper but need 4 door. The only problem is the price for options...at $33,000 it is not even fully loaded..@_@

yeah mini is expencive thats for sure, thanks to bmw. but they are good quality cars, especially the this new generation. i don't know if you have had the pleasure of sitting in or driving one but they are much more put together. i drive a first gen mini. great cars!

BMW is no longer selling Minis, they are selling an idea of having a Mini instead. I cant understand even the new 3 door hatch design!! I loooove the R53 and I tolerate the R56, but dont count on me as a customer anymore...

Minis are getting progressively ugly - for me it would have to be a low mileage 1st-gen. Also just an observation - British presenter, British (ish) car, British number plate; therefor, it would seem, British review - so why left-hand drive Whatcar?
