Congratulations again! A house recommendation -- do the painting and stuff now, but wait for all the wall moving etc for a few months. Live in it first and find out what annoys you and you need changed right away, and what things you're willing to live with for a bit. It's so easy to get carried away with projects, but they can be an absolute nightmare. Take the time to enjoy what you have and make sure that it's REALLY what you want. Best wishes in your beautiful new space :)

Hey Freya! Loving the home content so far. Just wanted to mention about the bifold doors. We live in west London and have them and they’re what I love the most about our house. Also you don’t have to fully slide them open all the time. There’s a door bit that you can easily open without sliding the whole thing open on more chillier spring/summer days. Just thought id let you know about our experience with it.

Love these vlogs and not coming across braggy at all. You can tell you’ve worked really hard at this and so grateful for your position. Please take your time with the decision making. I’m onto my second full house renovation and lived through this one. A lot of my decisions I made at the start were based on trends and really regretted it. Onto the second Reno, we took our time to understand how best we use our spaces and held off on decisions and changes (as hard as it was!) and SO glad we did. It’s very exciting and easy to get carried away at the start but leave the big decisions until you’ve lived in it for a while xxx

Congratulations on your new home! Also I am so exited for you to have a cat. I have spent my whole life around cats and am currently living with my 13 year old gorgeous kitty. They can be very independent and there is a lot to tech out there to help you care of them like cat fountains and automatic feeders. They can be microchipped and there are a bunch of companies that make GPS trackers for them too. You can have special angled fences installed to prevent them from escaping. Wishing you and your future cat the best of luck! 😺

Love the house, I'm so pleased for you. You can definitely use those kitchen cupboards again, not a difficult job. I think French doors are a much better option. Those bi-fold doors are a pain in the proverbial. I used to be a serial renovator, I think I've renovated about 12 houses in all but have now retired to a lovely old house (which took me 3 years to find) which you guessed it, I'm renovating 🤣 You've really bought the perfect first house, you can live in it but still renovate parts of it. That Magnolia tree will be stunning!

Something my family did will renovating things like floors/tiles is get a little bit more than needed so that it anything happened to the floor or walls needed knocking they had the exact flooring and wouldn't need to rebuy
