Love the pole mount i was thinking of doing the same to my sth-10 or my 3t22 but i need to get it finished first my power supply is not heavy enough to spin my rotor so i need to find another one also are you going to make separate switches for the hurricane so the blower doesn't turn off?
@nascarsimracing129 күн бұрын
The final product will be a self contained setup. Yellow head, FC controller, blower under a to scale cover, radio and wifi activation. This was just a proof of concept test

are you gonna extend the horn to full length eventually (without the weight problems lol) or is it not possible? cause just looks off with the short horn imo
@nascarsimracing129 күн бұрын
@Dup1o.2 i am going to eventually try an idea i have for metal reinforcement. Stick a 2" OD aluminum exhaust pipe tube in the blower pipe. Itll stick up inside the horn and reinforce the rotator. Itll still be a separate piece from the head, so i can lay the head on the ground like in the greenville auction photos.

Will the volume stay more constant once you have the actual roots blower?
@nascarsimracing128 күн бұрын
@Creeperboy099 I'm not using a roots anymore. I cant fit one under a to scale blower cover, and it costs $400 for the blower alone. And it doesnt have any good way to mount it. And its airflow at the right hum speed is actually less than the new blower im gonna get. New blower does a little over 160cfm. I will be using an Ametek 122133, hidden under a to scale blower cover. With a cone air filter, and an air chopper to simulate blower hum. Externally it'll look like a proper to scale blower. The siren will also as a result be louder than it already is!

Do you have the blower now and if you do are you going to test it on the 130 also

might be able to find like a supercharger or turbo on amazon or something to provide more pressure to the chopper. But idk what he wants to do.
@nascarsimracing128 күн бұрын
Ametek 122133. Tangential bypass single stage blower. Around 160cfm. Fit under a proper half scale blower cover, and paired to an air chopper to simulate blower hum. @dinguspigeon

How many decibels?
@nascarsimracing125 күн бұрын
@Geo001yt i havent yet measured it on this pole, but in a past 100 foot test i got 88 decibels. That was also with my old stators, which were restrictive on the rotors and therefor not as efficient. I won't be surprised if i get atleast 90 decibels at 100 feet now.
