I bought those exact packets last year along with some hair grass seeds when I was in Japan. So those carpeting seeds will grow to be hygrophila polysperma, while the sp. large is hygrophila auriculata which is a terrestrial plant. They don't stay a carpeting plant, but they are definitely cool.
@demonprince59604 жыл бұрын
Maybe add a couple of cherry shrimps to the nano tank they are hardy enough to live in a no filter setup plus the plants should be enough to provide oxygen for like 2 shrimps no problem (good vid as always stay safe and keep it up) ✌

I read that there are usually two cases for seeds: 1) the plants are non-aquatic, they can germinate but eventually die 2) the plants are indeed aquatic (hygrophila species) but they are not carpeting plants and grow extremely tall (up to 4 feet)

Ryo, love your vids, I really like the montages with Japan scenery, etc. and I also like when you do underwater video. Rio, you could try another set up with the seeds. After 2weeks the seeds are actually good for flooding. When they are submerged they will turn into stem plants after months. Soon they will melt after so you'll have to reset. That's why there are 2 more pockets. Based on my experience. Hope that my input would help. 🙂

Best of luck my friend. It can be pricey here in Sth Aus too. To do it right, the expense for my 5 gallon/ 19Lt tank was about $350 aud. Lately I collect small patches of moss up in the hills where I work and gather certain stones from landscaping projects I’m involved in. Even found what I think is lava rock. It can help with hardscape costs but there is the quarantine aspect which needs to be looked at. I’m creating a native terrarium which will be including the critters😊 So maybe check out your local wild species and follow guidelines on where you CAN & CANNOT take native fauna. Please be conscious if you take that route. Joy can still be had with the simplest of setups but as I’m sure you’re aware, you (mostly) get what you pay for in this hobby.

7:30 that's awesome Please don't put fish in there. The tank look really small for the fish to swim. Maybe a snail , that will be nice.
@soysuka4 жыл бұрын
Too small for fish unless you just wanted it for fry before they get upgraded. Maybe a pest snail tank or 1 ornamental snail but many species need more space since they are so active and have a surprisingly large bio lode. 2 neocaradina shrimp might be ok but I would personally still feel bad at the lack of stimulation/cover for them in the tank as it is. They might also struggle with temperature swings because of the small water volume. The other issue would be sexing them so your 2 don't make a whole colony. Definitely give us an update on that carpet, I've heard many sold are not truly aquatic plants and die out. Beautiful scapes and well shot. Thank for the look at fish stores across the world! Loved the view of the rice patty too! ♥️
