really nice area to boat! i was a back bay flats guy as a kid. always pushed it. ha.. nice!

I’ve had to push this boat quite a lot over the last few months... haha.

Cool video. We have a big big screen which made it like we were in your boat and along for the journey. Good times. 😁😊
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
That makes for an immersive ride =] I built a new mount that will bring the camera angle up a bit and a tad bit higher. Hopefully that gets more of the river and less of our heads haha.

Build some hook points and get a come along. Might help pulling the boat out

I fish the bourbeuse often on a jet. You looked to be north of reikers for landing?

Exhaust question, I saw you plumbed it out under the rear deck. Is that below waterline when planing? Trying to think how to keep noise level down as everyone is always wearing ear muffs while in a jet boat. Great build.
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
It is above the waterline when planing, but the issue seems to be harmonic resonance due to the motor and supercharger vibrating. It just ends up being a very noisy combo that makes the aluminum hull resonate. Also, the headphones have an intercom in them that allow myself and the wife to talk to each other while cruising :)

Thanks, Please keep up the great build series it's very educational to someone thinking about a build. Have fun.

@@Localhost127 you should try dyno matting the inside. It helps a ton with that type stuff

Loving your channel- keep up the content! Sounds like you have a lot of slip- might want to tune up your impeller or get a heavy-duty Saco unit to take a bit of a beating.
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I appreciate it! This impeller has been gradually cavitating more and more each ride, I purchased a stainless steel solas impeller to get me through the next couple months. I plan on pulling the trigger on a trimmable nozzle and a Saco near the end of the season
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
Figured I’d give an update, I purchased a skat trak thick blade impeller. Hopefully that thing scoffs at peagravel like it’s nothing!
@roderickmckinnon42254 жыл бұрын
@@Localhost127 Yep, that's a good start, you could also experiment with closing up your grill a bit- add an extra bar or two- often helps boats hook up better- its counter-intuitive but might really make a difference.

@@Localhost127 it will drop your top end down but to be fair- screaming along at 8k rpm is not reallly what jet boats are about- also sucks major gas!

Can you get minijetboat winch, it would be fun to see if you could jet-winch.

I would LOVE a winch for this thing. That would definitely save our backs when we do get it stuck haha

How far up the Bourbeuse can you go?
@Localhost1273 жыл бұрын
We actually took a wrong turn and went up the skinny side near the bluffs on the right. We could definitely go further up if we had some rain the week prior.

You should install some wheels under the boat .
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
I’ve thought about having a system that can pop a set of garden wheels down for easy dragging. Our luck they’d just get caught on something haha

Thank you! All of my jet boating videos normally have progressive trance or some sort of minimal techno tracks to them as hearing a motor and supercharger gets old real quick lol. First song is astral ride by Matt fax, second song is girls by Chris Lorenzo. Third one is just a generic Ibiza club lounge track.

@@Localhost127 Nice bro I enjoyed when watching the videos , I use to live in the Jungle in Suriname (Kwamalasamutu) look it up and we could use a boat like yours when the water is low in the dry periods would be a great way to catch fish to , when i,m in my speedboat and trim engine up , the fishes fly in to the boat haha so i think with yours it should work to but not on those circuits you are racing lol !!!
