yes the time. for most people it goes like this. you work to make ends meet and then you have not enough time to do anything like this as you can not even get the parts together to make it. then you are too old and can not do it anymore. so you go on youtube to find someone, only one, who had the time when they were of working age and who actually build one. That is one in a million. What has this world come to. Everyone should build one of these while they can or find a young one to teach.

I like how your front-end articulate loader has multiple angles of articulation versus others only have left and right and by video your doesn't have counter weights which doesn't appear that you need it even though you mounted engine more to one side it appears it doesn't effect it. You should be really proud of this machine .

It's a really good job. One interesting thing about building from scratch like this is that the precision is found more in the process, than in the accuracy of any single part. These parts are made specifically for this one machine. They don't have to fit in any other place in the universe. Notice how he made them in a progression and made them fit (with some clever forward thinking) rather than building a bunch of things and putting them all together at the end. With modern machines we're used to thinking in terms of modular, replaceable parts. Fab'ing machines like this doesn't require the precision that would be needed if we had to go buy a replacement part. I'm not saying there is no precision in his machine - it's absolutely well build and accurate, but that's not the same as truly identical parts. Very precise machine tools (lathes and mills, etc) can built the same way. You just can't take a part from another machine and bolt it in as a replacement.

Great Video! One thing you could do that would make using the bucket easier for digging would be to add about 5 teeth across the bottom front edge of the bucket. This will allow it to break up the ground before being scooped up.
@CrusaderSports250
@CrusaderSports250 Жыл бұрын
The teeth would do that but they can be a bit of a double edged sword, a plain bucket will tend to ride over things, like pipes and cables, whereas teeth will dig and you discover them as you lift and they break!, also a toothless one can be used on hard or prepared surfaces with less marking. There is no right answer, you pay your money and take your chance as they say, time to make a second bucket I think, and possibly a set of pallet forks. A very smart build and the ball joint and bar has solved a problem with a possible project I am looking at, so good oh!.

I chopped some axles like that to extend them for a 4x4. The half shafts didn't like being welded and snapped pretty quick. I hope yours don't, but I suggest you measure these before they do. If you want more traction, first consider tractor tyres, then welding up the differentials. Don't weld the crown gear!

Very nicely done sir. I really liked how you used the two tie rod ends as the pivot point for the steering. It was very good thinking. Just a couple of things that you might want to look into, they are, 1st. Lock up one of the differentials by welding up the spider gears this will make that one differential locked so both Wheels will turn together. This will greatly improve traction. 2nd. Add traction tire to the machine.. 3rd. Add a cutting edge to the bucket, it will save the bucket in the long term Your work was excellent. I liked your solution regarding the clutch as well as using old Lada parts and scrap steel to keep the price down. I look forward to your next video. Please, No music, talk to the camera like a friend was helping you but must explain why you do each thing. Automatic translation makes it so we can understand you........mostly. Please understand, I am not saying you did anything wrong, my suggestions were to make your machine a little better, just a little better. Thanks, Bob Ordewald, Staunton Virginia USA

What a very clever design, extremely neat engineering and outstanding craftsmanship! Subscribed. The one thing I would do is to fabricate and install a high strength chain guard to protect the Operator from a broken drive chain being propelled into his legs, arms or face! I have seen motorcycle drive chains break at standstill and destroy the cast aluminium engine casings. A broken drive chain would cut into one's limbs or face, severing and shattering whatever they encountered.

Very impressive. I think with better tires for traction ans teeth on the bucket it will do much better.

That's an awesome build. There's nothing like the final coat of paint to bring it all together. Looks like something a small company would be making and selling. Now just need the mini excavator to go with it. I've always said if I was rich, forget the fancy sports cars and all that rich toy noise. I'd have the most awesome sandbox (an acre) with real excavators, bulldozers and such. Invite my buddies over to play.

I enjoyed everything about this build except for the welding. As an experienced welder I can say with almost certainty that most of his welds are going to fail.

The welds did not look too bad but the articulating steering joints don't look strong enough. Look at the guy's conditions for working. I would be freezing my balls off and not be worried about properly beveling weld joints and such.
