This is just describing taking lots of vacations lol. I can appreciate it if you're finalncially independent and basically work because you want to (which is a true minority) but that's totally not an option for people working to build their career or establish themselves. I would instead recommend you learn to have boundaries with how much you load onto your life so things aren't piling up so much. I honestly think our struggle is having clear and honored priorities, not a need for endless vacations. Its just not reality and pitching it as something that should become a norm seems dubious. Learn balance. It's an incredible privilege, even if you've earned it, to take that much time off so frequently.

Your point on boundaries is well-taken. This is something a lot of us could learn more about. Then you don't need to vacation as much ... because your life feels more like a vacation. (Unless you live in Michigan and it's January. Then you need a vacation -- speaking for myself here)

@@MarriageKidsandMoney respectfully, thats fantasy talk. Regular people in 2024 define a “good job” as one that keeps you and your kids alive. Burnout or no burnout. Burnout is a topic of extreme privilege for the ordinary middle class laborer. I work deep in the Fortune 500, and you wouldn’t catch me dead risking being unemployed on purpose in this economy lol. There are skilled and qualified individuals submitting over 1,000 applications to land jobs right now. It’s wild to even imagine, right now, putting your livelihood and savings at risk to take some sort of breather. It’s just a very out-of-touch concept. 99% of people have ZERO access to that kind of luxury.

@@JimFrenowsky You call it fantasy. I call it a dream worth pursuing. If someone feels burnt out and needs a break, amassing a large sum of money to allow for that break is not only doable but likely just what the doctor ordered. I appreciate the civil debate by the way.
