Buy one, and buy one by whoever you want to. Supporting any & your shaper is good to do, but it's also good to know the origin. Joe Bauguess, the inventor of the mini simmons in 2006 has the trademark and is the birth-point of the first Mini-Simmons, check him out. Read the story of how it first was designed. The first to ever ride one was Joe Curren at Rincon. I own a local shaper's version of one, they're great. Still want a Joe B.

Baugess didnt invent the mini simmons, Bob Simmons did. Baugess helped revive or reintroduce the planing hull theories of Simmons with Kenvin. Personally I thought him trademarking the term "mini simmons" was a pretty damn weak move considering he's using another mans name and work. RK is cashing in on the mini's too but just doing it in a different and in my opinion more positive way by using videos of the boards and posting Bob Simmons research and general history online. I love my mini bob !
