Thank you so much for your advent calendar reveals. I have used Hedgehog Fibers for the last year. I agree, it is gorgeous. BUT mostly, thank you for all the others you presented. I always am curious about advent calendars and you saved me this year. My curiosity was satisfied and having this yarn already in my stash I am going to try one of the others. I haven’t made socks or bought sock yarn. How much yarn does it take to make socks? Can you get a sock from each mini skein?

For a typical pair of socks made from sock yarn, you are likely looking at approximately 120 grams of yarn. You may need a little more or a little less depending on the stitch pattern, design of the sock, and if you are knitting vs. crocheting.

If you don't subscribe to Chemknits you might want to. She uses yarn-mops to clean her hands or clean the surface and she also does 'leave no dye behind'. She hates to waste dye and the yarn-mops are in high demand on her website.
