When you put the topping in first and the crust on top, it becomes firm and crisp. I never use foil - too fiddly. I fill the cups to the top and then whatever is in them will usually rise and touch the top heating plate. When you loosen the cheesecakes and invert the cups, you get the crust on the bottom.

I bought some silicone cupcake liners. The fluting made it easier to get things out. I did have to trim the tops of the silicone down about 1/4 inch with a pair of scissors to let the top close securely.

You have such great ideas!

this looks really good! I'm guessing the original recipe expected the browning and firming on top, and that's why the crust was put on top of the filling. then when they are done cooking, run the knife around the edge and turn them out onto a plate crust side down! then top with the fruit spread.

I had never thought to make cheese cake bites in my dash egg bite maker but I’ve made mini cheese cakes in the microwave in a mug that came out great. Those cheesecakes look so good. Maybe next time cook the crusts a little before you put the cheesecake mixture in them? Or take the bites out and just put crust side down on the emptied egg bite maker pan to brown them on the bottom a bit? Or honestly I’d just eat them with a spoon out of the cup. I feel like I’m gonna make these soon. Bonne Maman strawberry is probably my fav of their most popular jams. The savor crust with the jam I think is a good idea. When I was a kid I loved my mom’s strawberry jam on ritz crackers. I still love them. Thanks for the inspiration

I’m wondering if you could perhaps parbake the crust prior to adding the filling and baking? Your creativity is really impressive!❤

They remind me of those Portuguese natas that you might see in Lidl in the bakery area. They look really good! Somehow I feel like I gain weight watching these haha 🤣 ❤

Hi, nice job! I bought the dash egg bite maker to make egg bites. How clever, perfect size for portion control. I’ll make it sugar free and crustless. Thanks!😊

I bought a dash egg bite maker a couple of years ago but was very disappointed in mine because it was only 270w and I couldn't toast a sandwich in it😢. I understand that some have a higher wattage and will toast a grilled cheese. This is an awesome appliance if it can get hot enough.😊

these are listed at 420 watts.

I think you could cook them upside down and then when you dump them out of the little pots, you could leave the crust on the bottom and don't turn them over. ♥ You have me buying little machines now... because we live in a motorhome and have no stove... and very little counter space. Sorry I can't order through your links but I'm in Canada and it costs much more if I do that. ♥

cheesecake yum! i've been binge-watching your channel since it found me- great stuff. i have the dash 8" grddle and it's a rockstar. and i've been on the verge on getting that eggbite cooker even though i'm not much on eggs, since it looks like it can do a lot more. do you take video requests? i would love to pick your brain on: say you could only own 3 mini counter cooking appliances- which would you would pick to get the absolute most versatility in what you can cook with them? a bonus would be that they were each less than say 750 watts so they could be easily used on a solar charged portable power station. thanks for your great videos!

Hi, Thanks for watching! The CWC Mini Toaster Oven is 750 watts and I use it all the time like a regular oven. Here's the link - amzn.to/3VG3YAD The Hamilton Beach Mini Multi-Cooker is 350 watts and is a steamer, slow cooker, and rice cooker all in one. Here's the link - amzn.to/41Y23vl The new Dash Flex Press Grill System would round those out perfectly since it's a griddle, grill, and waffle maker. But it's 1000 watts. The link - amzn.to/4fmONDo Otherwise, the Dash 8" Griddle would be a replacement for the Flex Press Grill System since it's a better size than the Mini Griddle. I have an 8" griddle but hardly ever use it because the non-stick surface has an issue and always sticks. Hope that helps!

I had not thought to make mini cheesecakes like this. I wonder if sister will let me use her egg bite maker.
@lisabacon58963 күн бұрын
I think I would put the bites crust side down in the dry pre-heated egg bite maker to try and crisp the crust up, maybe it will even caramelize the sugar you sprinkled on.

I thought I'd mention this just to help you know the difference wild strawberries tend to be so much sweeter than the kind you buy at the store they're tinier too which means takes a whole lot more to make the same kind of strawberry jam you would have in a regular one also unless they are seedless which is rare they tend to have very tiny seeds that are slightly smaller than the regular strawberry jam so if it's sweeter and you can still taste a bit of tartness then yeah that's the difference.
@CounterCooking2 күн бұрын
Yes, that’s why I said I couldn’t really taste the wild strawberries in the fruit spread. I grow them in my yard so I’m used to their flavor on their own.

Why don’t you put the filling in first and the crust on the bottom and let them cook that way?
@CounterCooking3 күн бұрын
because every single time that I’ve ever used these egg cups, no matter how well I’ve greased them with either butter or oil, the eggs have always stuck to them
@Adriana0210-s4f4 күн бұрын
If you rub some butter on the sides when you do eggs or this cake maybe they would not stick. The bottom here did not stick because of the butter in the crust mix.
@CounterCooking3 күн бұрын
when I have buttered and or oiled these little cups in the past, the eggs have always stuck to them

Do you have to include the egg? Can I use a traditional cheesecake recipe?

I don’t know I’ve never tried that. If you do, let me know how it comes out
