Update as of 2023: When I last time came here, I heard that they ended up closing the purple garage to the public and using it for employee parking for construction of the Mickey Leland Terminal Expansion Project. I ended up seeing that they're actually demolishing some of the purple garage structure for the project. The good news is however, is that the elevators at the Blue & Brown Garages will still exist for a while (thank goodness they're not getting replaced and/or modernized again for now). I first filmed here back in February 2013 (Filmed the elevators in all the garages at Terminal C), and again in October 2013 (Blue Garage Only), March 2023 (Brown Garage Only, short ride in 4K), and recently in November 2023 (Brown and Blue Garage retakes in 4K).

Actually Jim, I spoke too soon, they’re supposed to be adding 2 floors to the existing purple garage, which means they will end up replacing the existing elevators in the purple garage.

technicalboy 3000 Denver Airport has almost all traction elevators. The only hydraulic elevators are the ones at Concourse C and the level 5/6 transfer elevators at the terminal.

technicalboy 3000 They're already Montgomery/KONE. KONE was the maintenance company for Denver Airport, but they weren't doing a good job. So, now ThyssenKrupp is the maintenance company and the elevators are in much better shape.

technicalboy 3000 Denver Airport's Terminal hydros might need a mod, they're very bouncy. But the hydros at Concourse C are very unique and rare Dover Vanity elevators. If they're going to modernize those, I hope they only replace the motors and leave the original fixtures.
