Pointless, how do you take the tray out to create more storage, would be a more useful video as it is not suitable for larger phones

Why would you design a phone charger that won't fit an extremely popular model (e.g. iPhone 6 Plus/7 Plus)? The retention piece won't retract far enough. It seems most of the larger smartphone models (including my Nexus 6) will not fit, either, as they are too long for the bracket.

So I have the latest and greatest iPhone 12 Pro Max that just came out, now I bought the latest and greatest 2021 JCW Countryman, you would think Mini could come up with a way to make their phone chargers compatible or adaptable to accommodate the larger and newer phones! Spending over $50 K this really is upsetting! 😢👎

My iPhone 11 and iPhone 8 both fit, but they get uncomfortably hot and charge at essentially a trickle rate. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t want to reduce my phone life due to excessive heat.

11 months and I still have not received an answer!!! Why not make your charger bigger or option adapter. More than half of the phones are larger than standard size. Why don't you listen to our mini ??? If you continue like this, you will lose a lot of customers. I already have my 2nd mini jcw f57 but 3rd could possibly be another car !!!

This feature is only available on 2017 and newer MINI Countryman and MINI Clubman models.

@@MINIUSA same here, we got now a 2020 model, and its still too small to fit any phones anyone in the family has ever owned the last 3 generations of phones... how come it's not made larger with the new models when clearly Mini must be aware the feature simply does not fit most Mini-owners phones...? very sad that an excellent sollution like this is turned to wasted space when all there would be needed is for the moving part to extend just a cm longer...

Hi Daniel, this option is currently available in the MINI Countryman and Clubman when equipped with the Technology or Fully Loaded package. A retrofit isn't possible at this time.
