We just got Mini Cooper S 2023 and the instructions worked for us to setup the garage door. It took me a few tries and I had to hold the yellow button inside the garage (second part of this video). Thank you... this is our 3rd MINI and we are super excited.

This is just awesome. I just purchased a new Mini Cooper convertible with HomeLink and tried to program the buttons using the manual. It said to hold in the buttons until the LED flashed green, which it never did. This video was correct and my mirror buttons programmed easily. Shame the manual is wrong.

Yes! It worked for our 2023 Cooper SE! been trying using the manual, but this worked perfect. Had to reprogram the OEM Liftmaster Remote afterwards, but both are working now! Our garage door is a 2004 model.

You can see this is something that Brits don't have (as in remote control garage doors) in the UK, most garages are too small for even a Mini and rarely get used for putting cars

Be advised if your garage opener is either a Summer or Direct Drive brand you will need to follow their programming directions on their website.

How to open and close windows with key fob? Can open them by pressing unlock button after opening the door lock but will not close windows when pressing the lock after locking the car? Please advise!

No it won't that's because it's a safety feature. It will open but not close. And if you use a coder to code it to do that it will void your warranty

You take it to a cell phone store and trade it in for a iPhone.. It doesn't support Android Auto

You are a fool if you buy a MinI after reading my post. Mini does not care about it’s customers. They make defective vehicles and refuse to repair them under warranty. The dealerships, regional engineering, and customer service in New Jersey are clueless. Despite the looks, styling and how much fun they are to drive these cars are junk.

B Ehlenberg My two Minis are not junk and are fun to drive. Never had many repairs to make. My used Mini had safety and operating repairs needed and the extended protection plan paid out $4000 for most of the repairs.

Mal Heindel Good for you. But my experience has been MINIUSA when they know how to fix it they are fine but when they have no idea why their products are defective they first blame the customer and then when you show even the regional MINIUSA engineer the defect and he agrees that it is not working correctly but replaces everything that corporate will allow him to replace and it still is not fixed. Then you get an email from corporate in NJ we have done everything we can and we are closing the case. Bottom line is they did not fix it. So you have just been lucky to date. BMW AG is a crappy company and does not stand behind its products from my experience. You have been warned. Also I have another BMW that is currently under a government mandated recall because the engine will randomly catch on fire. How long do you think it will take the same parent company to fix that defect? Also if the US Government had not forced them to would they? I have had three MINI Coopers and agree they are a blast to drive but when they do not stand behind their products it is time to look to another manufacturer. I am down to 2 MINIs and will be down to none soon. That same BMW had the same brake component fail 7 times in 6 years. I finally did the last repair based on what I found by others on the internet and it has lasted over a year, which is longer than any of the 6 previous attempts made by BMW at the dealerships. Bottom line is BMW uses inferior parts across it’s brands and it is just a question of when it will fail.

Cam's Life I stand by my opinion. MINI does not care about it’s customers and when it cannot figure out how to fix a problem with a component they say that is just how it works. You have no idea the frustration of dealing with MINI and MINI corporate always hiding behind the dealership, refusing to take ownership of defective equipment. I sold the MINI and we parted ways.
