My moms husband gave me his old mitre saw after the guard broke. He couldn’t use it at work after that. I just retapped some holes and put new bolts in and it was good to go again.

if you're able to p/u acouple of those small fans you clip on to things use them to direct the heat to your berthing area, near the ceiling then to where you need heat

Wood just radiates heat better than electric or gas alternatives. Cool set up

Caution! some of that dunnage looks like it is treated!? Green in color, usually a CCA product that off gases when burned. Good luck

What other free wood have you scoped out? Pallets? Aren't they hardwoods? Anyway to clamp the slate down? No holes on the countertop then. Has to be a big difference inside there after she gets going for a while. Bet you feel it in your bones too.

It is toasty in here today my friend 🍺. I believe pallets are hardwood, I'll burn a couple and find out 😁. Good idea on the clamps. Probably get some cool stainless hold downs or the like 👍. I was also thinking injecting some kind of epoxy under the corners.

@@JimmyMeatwhistle maybe a couple of cheap tubes of high heat gasket maker. Make some donut shapes of the size/thickness you need on a sheet of aluminum foil coated with WD40. Let them harden and viola! Two4 the price of one there!

@@JimmyMeatwhistle I GOT IT! 4 strong shiny magnets on each corner of the slate. (Amazon). Then inside under the countertop if you can get to it? No holes. No glue.

Good plan! But, the left side of where the stone is sitting is over top of that giant fridge. It's about 4" thick, so magnets are a no go.

This is less about equipment than skill. Maybe it is good that the previous owner left so much junk on the boat-- like the tongs and the soot spoon. Maybe keep the chair.
