Final thought's on this tiny wood stove and how I have been using it to heat a 400 square foot living space with dunnage and store bought wood pressed sawdust blocks.
Better late than never! This video was from a few weeks ago but wanted to update anyone that might be interested in this tiny woodstove.

These seem like good stoves. First I heard about them was on Forestry Forrest’s channel when he put one in his van. I made a bunch of fire starter from candle wax, dryer lint, and paper egg cartons. They work pretty good I’m proud to say lol.

Love that little wood stove. They come in two sizes I think. I have been watching many people use them in boats, campers, vans, and cabins. They are the best out there. Believe I am going get one.

These things are awesome, Carol. It really blew me away how much heat they can throw. This is the small one, the Cub, and I believe the next size up is the Grizzly 👍

I've had one for a few months, there are much better full time use stoves out there in my opinion. If you just plan on using them during the day and can add wood frequently, and aren't heating from extreme cold, (-10c or colder uninsulated, or -25c or colder well insulated) it is great for size and price. This is also with softer wood, down to flakes of embers and a cold firebox 3 hrs later. Harder wood and pressed logs better. The thing is, it doesn't have the excess of heat needed for extreme cold, nor the firebox size to last 6 hours say. If you're talking about a boat during the day, it fits well. Good for a shower shack, small cabin, tree house, ice fishing shack. Dwarf 5kw my next choice.

Hi Jimmy, just watched your video, that stove is really cool (I mean hot!), I never would have thought about cotton balls and vasoline...brilliant idea - who needs to pay for those special firestarters! Thanks for the update, I imagine not only does the stove keep your boat warm, but it also removes humidity buildup. All the work you did on the boat really shows, that interior is really clean and makes a great place to live in.

Hi Jimmy. Boat is really looking good and glad that stove is heating it up. A buddy of mine used those bio-bricks in his woodstove (has a Hearthstone similar to mine). He ended up overfiring the stove causing damage. I suspect it was a case of him stuffing the stove to the max. Those bricks seem to burn very hot and I believe hotter than regular wood. Awesome idea with the "sticky bomb" fire starter! Cheers! Michael

Hi Michael. I had this thing just a cooking on a few nights, like CRAZY hot, too hot because it was making me a bit worried, lol. But. allegedly these things can handle the high heat from the blocks and/or pellets. Only did a few times and it sure was a test for that headliner detail😂. Thanks for the comment and have a great weekend!! 🤠🍻

Look at that little thing go! Those bricks must last a long time if you close up the dampers just right. The boat is looking great! Has she spread out her fins yet and skipped across the water?

Thanks, BWC! The boat is not skipping across the water yet, I'm just trying to keep it off the bottom, 🤣👍🍺

That's a cool little stove, how much does it weigh? How long does one brick last?
@JimmyMeatwhistle
@JimmyMeatwhistle Жыл бұрын
Hi John, it's about 30 pounds, and a brick lasts quite a few hours, depending on how it's dampened.

It heats the entire boat, but because those two areas are lower, its not quite as warm in those areas.

Are there open slips nearby? You could get a cheap junk boat and fill it with firewood.

Hi Paul, good idea, but, a slip here is about $1000 per month, so no deal lol
