Scott man, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you. Your channel has been an incredible asset for me on my painting journey. I am still very much amateur but I strive to challenge myself with a new technique every time I pick up the brush and I have your example to thank for that. My kid and I saw your minis on display at Source and we both had a fan boy moment about it. "Woah, Miniac is a real guy?!" - My kid. Keep up the kick ass work my man, you seem like a very esteemable man, we are all blessed for having people like you in the world, and even more blessed to have people like you who share their talent and passion the way you do.

This looks fantastic, and I'm really glad to see the makeup tutorials getting their shout! Something that I would like to see in the future is how you apply these techniques to other variations of character, like a vampire character, a person of color, an ORC! How would you apply makeup tutorial information to green or dark elf type skin? Thank you for sharing the videos, it's always the highlight of my week whenever I see you pop up on my feed.

Miniature painting has been a thing that I wanted to do for quite some time. Now, this video will give me a better idea of how to do this. Thanks again!!!!!

Hey Scott - Pro tip from a carpenter to drill straight by hand. Firstly, drill guides are available on Amazon for a tenner. They're just machined blocks you run the drill bit through, very helpful. Second (free) option is to put a ring on your drill bit. Drill from the side rather than top down. The ring hangs on the drill bit and shows you if your wobble off centre. Looking down you can check for yaw, and the ring will indicate error in pitch. Another great video. I really wanna try getting into busts. Need to find a good supplier in the UK!
@Miniac2 жыл бұрын

Great video Scott! I liked some of your answers to the questions in there too. Where I live I find I can't wetblend as the paint dries too quickly so stippling and glazing become the standard, anything I want to wetblend has to be done in oils. A little constructive criticism on the face - its still a little too dark red in places especially as you used green for a lot of the rest of the model. Mixing in a tiny bit of green to the darker tones the same way you did with yellow for the highlights will actually help there, make it darker without making it redder or browner. Orange can work too but in this case green. Anyway fantastic video as ever, love the new set and I am looking forward to getting the Kickstarter items.
