I’m going through my tons of fabric to give to a friend. I’m saving small bits for dollhouse uses and now I want to go make some pillows. But I have to finish getting through all the fabric first. These are so cute. And that shell mirror is beautiful! Keep making videos. I love how you say what you are doing in each step. Your comments are very concise and helpful!

9:15 Oh, wow, the seashell mirror turned out beautifully. Reminds me of when we'd visit my grandparents and they'd let me take little shells home - I'd find them on the beach and Grandma would boil them to be sure I didn't bring any mites or germs home with me. 🥰

Thanks for sharing this! I like the tag in the cushions. One suggestion would be to turn in the 4th edge before sewing the other three sides, so it's easier to close the cushion after stuffing.

Ironing that edge first makes it easier to see a straight seam.

When I lived in the Netherlands, I always wanted to go to the Doll Houses convention. And I did, many years in a row. The only problem was it was in the same hall as the Crystals and Minerals convention. My partner and I, we had a HUGE, I mean HUGE, crystal collection. So we'd go on that convention first, saying that with the money left after it, I could spend it on the Doll House side. In all the years I went to this convention, not one time I had money left for the Doll House Convention side lol... Since then, I sold my entire crystal collection and gave away my big Dutch Canal Doll House. I still love both.. crystals and doll houses... but life happened. Anyway, I enjoy your videos a lot. Hope you make many more. Thank you

Ooo, I like these makes. I think I would "mass-produce" the pillows, by sewing two long strips together along the long edges, then across the short sides twice where I wanted to divide the pillows up, then snip between the short side seams, turn right-side out, stuff, and invisible sew up the fourth side of each. Henry Ford would be proud! Lol

I'm guessing, Donna, that you are a quilter? Maybe Quilt in a Day or Fons & Porter?
@donnabursey1457
@donnabursey1457 Жыл бұрын
@@kittykitty435 nope, not a quilter. I knit and crochet and I've been known to sew clothing. I am a coder, though, so it could be a logic gene? Idk, that process just occurred to me as a logical way to proceed.

@@donnabursey1457 It's probably because of your profession! My sister is a programmer, I thinks it's same or similar to coder. She told me once you have to think of every little thing when coding. You need to think of everything that can happen to make it work. Now you know how a quilter is similar to you, if you want to give it a try. The Quilt in a Day woman was all about how to save time when putting quilt blocks together quickly and easily. She said with her method she could create an entire quilt top in a day. I used to love to watch her create beautiful quilts with speed. 👍👍👋👋

@@kittykitty435 yes! Coder=programmer. Interesting -thank you for sharing. I have thought about doing a machine quilt (no way I'm hand sewing!). I'll have to take a look at that woman. I love to watch someone who really knows what they're doing create. It's fascinating!

What clever ideas you have. Being totally new to this hobby, I'm still faffing about getting to grips with 1:12 scale...the penny will eventually drop in my 62-year-old mind😝

The scale is hard! I'm not mathematically minded so I struggle with it often 😂

This is the first video I've seen of yours, it was suggested through youtube, so I don't know what scale you work in. I just wanted to say when I saw the 3d printed curio cabinet in your haul it reminded me of my mom's jewelry cabinet, which is quite large. It's more than 3 feet tall. Looks like that in shape, and the legs,, but the two sides are doors where hanging jewelry can go, and the center has drawers all the way up the front. The top opens and has a space for rings with an open area on either side. So, maybe you could convert this cabinet into something like that? Wow, that was a lot of typing.. sorry!! I"m sure you can find an image of the cabinet online and get exact dimensions to see if maybe this would work. Sorry for the long explanation.. heh I'm going to watch the rest of your video now. Glad to have found your channel. ** I guess if I had watched a few more seconds I would have seen you work in 1:12 scale.. heh

Thank you so much, that's a great idea! :) I think I used to have something similar when I was younger, but just for necklaces. Might come in handy for my shabby chic dollhouse renovation I'm working on!
