That is a brilliant idea! Not only is it a record of what literature you consumed in any given year (I've forgotten more than I remember), it's so delightfully cute! Love it! I would fill the spaces with little elements from my favorite books (symbols or knick-knacks).

I love this idea, I’m definitely going to be doing this!
You'd be better buying cheap acrylic paint from the Dollar Store etc, put some in a saucer, small plastic cup etc, add some water to dilute then you'll have the perfect colour 'wash'. Better than the stamp option as these are used to age/weather miniature papers, manuscripts etc.

What a cool idea. I think I also got my best ideas when I want to make someone a present. Sadly it doesn't happen too often. Greetings from Switzerland.

I love your creativity and l'm so jealous of the ease with which you made up your mini book covers. I could watch a video just about that (hint, hint)! If you do more mini model making you might want to change up from ink pad and glue stick. You can probably buy the inks separately, and some, for instance the Tim Holtz distress ink range, are great for adding age and wear and tear. But you can also use slightly watered down acrylic paint with dry brushing, or woodstain. I'm currently obsessed with the wonderful QueenCityMinis, well worth a watch on KZbin. She's just fantastic at using everyday resources and gets amazing results. I really enjoyed your video, can't wait to see where your talent leads you.
