Miniature Easy DIY project making square floral accent throw pillows for display in dollhouses.

This is an easy DIY project making miniature sunflower accent decor on gingham or check fabric pillows for display in small scenes including 1:6, 1:12, 1:24, 1:48 & 1:144 scales.
The video shows the pillows made by gluing three seams & adding decorative fabric or paper sunflowers & roses. The pillow seams may also be sewn.
The larger finished pillows shown measure 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches with smaller sizes from 1 x 1; 3/4 x 3/4; 1/2 x 1/2; 1/4 x 1/4 to 1/8 x 1/8 inches.
This pillow method uses a rectangle fabric piece folded over in half lengthwise.
cut a 1 1/2 x 3 inch rectangle to make a 1 1/4” square pillow
cut a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2” rectangle to make a 1” to 1 1/8” square pillow
cut a 1 x 2” rectangle to make a 1” square pillow (fabric is not reversed for gluing)
cut a 3/4 x 1 1/2” rectangle to make a 3/4” square pillow “ “
cut a 1/2 x 1” rectangle to make a 1/2” square pillow “ “
cut a 1/4 x 1/2” rectangle to make a 1/4” square pillow “ “
cut a 1/8 x 1/4” rectangle to make a 1/8” square pillow “ “
Materials & suggested items for project:
[1] fabric - thin cotton, cotton blends or other
[2] stuffing - cotton, polyester fiber, beads or other
[3] ruler, pencil & paper for pattern template
[4] glue - PVA clear dry, like Aleen’s original tacky glue or others
[5] container to hold glue, like a bottle cap
[6] scissors
[7] tweezers
[8] toothpicks & a paintbrush to apply glue
[9] stylus & mat
[10] paper punches (or hand cut) circle & petal shapes to fit pillow top/front in sunflower shapes
[11] craft flocking - brown, yellow, orange, green to put on paper flowers & leaves
[12] flowers: copy paper or card stock - yellow, orange, green, brown or purchased premade sunflowers from craft, scrapbooking or sewing departments
[13] small clamps or clothespins
[14] color pencils for paper flowers detail, green paint for tiny leaves, brown permanent marker for middle center on tiny flowers
[15] thread & needle if sewing seams
