These would be beautiful as appliqués for outfits. Use soft, lightweight cottons in place of paper, etc. also lightweight fusible interfacing in place of paper. A satin stitch around the edge as a finishing touch. I love your techniques.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love this idea for using my fabric scaps! I will definitely make some for my journals. I was thinking while watching your tutorial that doing several in a stocking shape would be nice for Christmas. I thought I'd attach a felt backing to make a pouch for filling them with candies or treats for the residents at my nearby retirement center. They'll make perfect "random acts of kindness" gifts! Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity. 🫶

@@barbaragaudreau8830, thank you. I enjoy spreading a little joy where I can. Kindness is so easy and the happiness it brings is long remembered. I'm enjoying your tutorials because of the step-by-step process, and what set you apart for me is that you were not afraid to say you did or didn't enjoy the process or the finished work. You LOVED some pieces & not liking so much others. It gets me out of the "everything has to be perfect" frame of mind and puts me into a "let's explore together" perspective, which helps me relax & enjoy. Thank you! Teri C. Indiana, USA

❤Thank you so much for sharing. Taking us through the process one step at a time really helped. Love that I now have another way to use up the small scraps that I treasure. I would like to try making luggage tags, but I know paper wouldn’t hold up, but maybe it could be a beginning step. Any thoughts on what I could use on the back to make it durable? Also could you recommend a liquid sealer or glue for the front to make it durable as well? Any thoughts from others would also be appreciated. 😊😊❤

I “discovered” KZbin a couple yrs ago during a long recovery from an accident. I’d seen a few of your videos, and have increased my paper crafting in the last 6-8 mos. I’ve watched more of your work, even told my husband the other day about how MUCH I enjoy your videos. Your voice captures my attention, your accent is lovely, and your passion for your creativity shows loud & clear. I’m recovering now from surgery 2 weeks ago (another accident in July of this yr.) and this time my R arm is involved & currently immobilized. I was in a flurry of creative activity before surgery trying to get some Christmas projects done. Last night I couldn’t sleep, was surfing amaz for supplies and something I searched for brought up 3 images, 2 were paper but the third looked like a book. Why is a book coming up I wondered? Oh WOW- I drilled down and it’s a book about creating with all things paper. I see the authors name- can it be Natasa from Treasure books? I got so excited, what wonderful serendipity….I ordered the book, think I’ll get it tomorrow, read the whole sample, your story is amazing and I’m so pleased for you that this wonderful book has been published! Thanks for enriching my life during a difficult time. My fingers are just itching to implement more of your ideas (made myself a lovely prayer journal this summer with some of your ideas & inspiration)! I’m going to see how much I can do with just my left hand/arm. You ROCK!!! Blessings on you!

Thanks, Natasa This is so creative! Two recommendations I would offer: 1) dust out the bobbin area so that paper scraps don't clog the machine, and 2)it's easier to cut fabric with dedicated scissors because paper tends to dull scissors faster than fabric.

They could be used…🤔 let your imagination flow! Appliqué on clothing, pillows, quilt blocks, a journal cover, mixed media art project. They could be framed to create a scenery, a tree branch with butterflies gathered as decor. They could be gifted or sold- some people would love that item for their creative process but maybe don’t want to make it. That’s just a few thoughts, I’m sure there’s many more options🤪 ❤️😀

To make the sewing process faster, lower feed dogs and switch to a free motion foot. Also, you could substitute the paper for thick embroidery interfacing (non- bonding). You then can sew your design directly onto a quilt that can be washed - but be sure to sew all the corners down in your piece to avoid loose fabric.

Thankyou for this, lovely, lovely, lovely. I know I can do this ok, it’s not something that’s difficult and will take ages to do. In fact, I can feel a PJ day coming on…… I’ll just bury myself in my sewing room, a nice Agatha Christie audio book or nice bit of music……. the sky’s the limit 😍. So, again I say ‘thankyou very much’. I can use a bit of interfacing instead of paper and put lovely shapes in my needle case books.

That would be good. Although people just throw a tag in the bin and you could just have a plain one and spend the time with your family instead. Like I can ser this being a fun thing for kids to make to pass the time but I can't see why an adult would do it unless at a nursing home to keep them busy. 🤔 there are so many things an able bodied adult could be doing with theie time to contribute to society than playing with scraps to make these.

@@PadraigpI mean, they’d be reusable so people wouldn’t have to worry about running out of tags. Very practical for Santa. You could even glue/sew a vinyl pouch on so people can address it to anyone. The next level of amazingness... :) The mushrooms and hearts are my favorites in this video. The elongated heart (the one with the pocket) inspired me to make similar combos in various proportions (for now -- just templates for them). The point about focal points is especially useful for me (anything could be pulled to the extra height with those). And the writing visible through the shear fabric in the tag actually inspired me to repeat that - find a nice quote and cover it with semi-transparent fabric. Thanks!! 🍄♥

I love them all, but especially the tree and butterflies. I have plenty of scrap fabric and lace that I can make some of these. Thank you, Natassa, for sharing and teaching how to make them. 🙂❤️

I am speechless with every project you do…your creativity is amazing. Thank you for sharing your process. I love the little tips you share, for instance how to pull the threads through. I knew about that because I see, but others may not. It’s so great that anyone watching with different skill sets, can still participate. My favorites? That is really hard, but probably the tree, mushrooms, the circle with the boho look, the mushrooms, the tags…well, I guess I love them all. I wish each day was 48 hours long! ❤
