Absolutely INCREDIBLE amount of detail! When I clicked on this, I thought, "That's a pretty sweet dollhouse kitchen." Little did I know it would have WORKING drawers and cabinetry! WELL DONE! Btw the cooler marble is actually a nice contrast to the warmer cabinets.

I'm a newbie hello everyone I absolutely love dollhouses at the moment I have a shop/house a kit you put together yourself them the rest is up to you. I got quite a way with it but lits more to do. The second is a large house handmade by someone else nothing is correct ie measurements for 1/12 like the doors too short etc that my next project and boy it's hard not as easy as some people think but in 2 yrs I've learnt so much. I also do lots of other crafts keeps me out of mischief hahaha xx

This is 2 years old but I just wanted to THANK YOU for such a great tutorial on how to do this without a printer. This is just amazing. May I ask what you use to cut your wood and the thickness of the wood you use for the drawers?

I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the video! I use an x-acto knife to cut my pieces. The trim is 1 mm thick and the rest of the drawer can be any thickness you like.

@gohawks3571 Hi, right now my friend and I are making shops to go through the village where my dolls house will be rebuilt. So far, a bakery with hand-made polymer clay cakes and bread. A market stall with polymer fruit and veg. Then, a 2 story dress shop with a dress making studio. I'm about to make the cafe tables and chairs for the bakery conservatory. We intend to form a full diorama around the village. Play area, pond, roads, etc. etc. Wish us luck. Thanks again for the inspiration and information

I’ve been making miniatures for over 30 years and I have never seen the exact fitting you obtain with every piece you put together… and corners meet so precise… right angles look perfect… please let me know what you use as far as tools and what types of wood. I love the long video, but if shorter ones are more manageable (and profitable for you), definitely chop it up because getting more regular videos would be awesome. This was a really great in-depth tutorial and while I'm not hung up on measurements as much because I do playscale, it's the logical order and planning in your videos that interests me most because that's applicable to any sized project (I'll be using paperboard rather than wood). It's great that the video is clear and concise and the style fits easily in a modern-styled kitchen or older. Does the Uhu Hart glue set hard and glassy or is it more soft and gummy?
@Craftish3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm so happy that you found it helpful! I was a bit concerned that the video would be a little too long for most, so I'm really glad that you liked it! The glue is a little pliable so I would say its more gummy like.

Bravo! But I do wish you shared your techniques for cutting the wood dowels and sheet. How do you get such precise, clean cuts???
@Craftish3 жыл бұрын
Hello! All my cutting on balsa wood is done with an x-acto knife. You can see me use it in my earlier videos but I have stopped including the cutting in some of my videos to keep the videos from being too long. The back wall of the kitchen is made with mdf wood and is a bit harder to cut, so I used a box cutter on the front and back and then sanded the edges to give them a nicer finish.

I found your video and was thrilled with it because I want to do a wall with cupboards and drawers and a fridge, and probably a broom closet, if there’s space, I haven’t measured it out yet. What scale do you create in? How wide was this project?
