Awww, I'm actually watching this video because Orchids are my mom's favourite flower (she loves the Lady Slippers) and I've been trying to figure out if I can make one for her out of clay. They really complicated flowers!

I homeschool and just bought some polymer clay for my kids to do projects. We simply molded ring bowls for their 2 grandmothers for Christmas gifts. I had no idea at the time that you could do all of these amazing things!! I will have to try to create something more intricate!! I love orchids they are so hard to grow though!! Maybe I will just make them!!

These are absolutely beautiful. I’m just learning but I seem to always pick difficult projects and made the cane for the petals and tried to make a flower which will take some practice. I love how to talk in your videos by explaining what to do and how to do it and telling us about yourself, I feel I have a friend next to me helping. Thank you for your videos, especially in these hard times of being isolated.

Beautiful! Looks like you sculpted a Phalaenopsis Orchid also known as a moth orchid. There are several different varieties of Orchids in shops and they have different petal structures. I only know this as I started trying to keep orchids finally. Always wanted to. I love the moth orchid best and lucky for me that is one commonly available. :) - Heidi

Have you thought about sculpting forest jungle and ocean scenes and placing them in a shadow boxes? I did two inch shadow boxes with with a black felt background with dried plants and butterfly stickers on foam board. Very nice to hang on a wall.
